“How about we find our home first, and then we can concentrate on a wedding.”

“No, Angel, I want you to be mine, I need you as my wife. I don’t want to wait any longer.” Alexander breathes out with such conviction.

I love this man with everything I am and want the same thing and need to know my babies and I will always have a home and the love of Alexander and Alexa. I know a piece of paper doesn’t solidify a relationship but I’d like the security of knowing this is real because sometimes this all feels like a dream.

I want my children to always have love surrounding them and this family is the best I’ve ever known. I still haven’t seen my mother or sister, but Doc suggested weeks ago that I only do that when I’m ready, especially since having a high risk pregnancy. I feel I need to see them both before I say, I do.

“I want you to be my husband and Alexa to officially be mine, but I think today we need to concentrate on looking at houses and tomorrow, I think I’d like to visit my mother, I need to see if she really is the better like you and Doc say and see for myself if the Mom I remember before the accident is back. Can we do that together?”

Alexander shuts off the faucet and kisses my forehead.

“Yes, Angel, that sounds like a solid plan, and I’ll be beside you every step of the way. I won’t allow any harm to come to you.”

“Thank you, Handsome.”

As much as I want and need to marry Alexander, I feel like there’s things in my life that need to be resolved.

That starts with visiting my mother…

CHAPTER TWELVE

ALEXANDER

We have looked at six properties today, all of them grand and luxurious but I don’t think any of them have captured my girls hearts. All I care about is that Lily has the kitchen and library of her dreams, my princess has room for a horse, stables and the land to ride on, and I’d like room for a separate building to house Alpha team, and the rest of the business can remain running at Harrington House. I want enough land to be a safe secure place for my family to grow and my kids to run, play and be free to have adventures.

I turn to Lily and Alexa, “Do you think you can wait a little longer?”

Alexa nods happily but Lily’s face pales, “Handsome, we don’t exactly have much time before we’ll have five in the family.”

“Tell me honestly baby, did you love any of the properties we’ve walked through?”

I see Tabitha turn her nose up at my statement, she has had this air about her all day which has been rubbing me the wrong fucking way, I’ve seen the sly looks and the curious stares at Lily and haven’t missed a second of it.

“No, I like certain parts of each, but I really shouldn’t be picky, they are very beautiful homes.” Lily says shyly.

“You should absolutely be picky my love, I want to make this our forever home. What about you, Princess?”

Alexa raises her arms and I pick her up and she wraps her legs around my waist.

“Yes, Daddy, I think we can make something togethaw, I’ll stawt dwawing ouw house tonight.”

Lily and I chuckle, and I catch the angry look on Tabitha’s face. But I decide to play this cool, I want her information, nothing more. I wink at Lily and pass Alexa off to her and step over to Tabitha.

“Is there any land for sale in Greenwich? I think we’d like to build.”

Tabitha tries hard to school her annoyed features but unfortunately for her she can’t hide her distain from me.

“There are two, very big acreages for sale but they are very expensive.” She says snottily.

If she think she’s turning me off and trying to steer us in a quick sale on one of these properties she’s mistaken, but I smile and play along.

“Where are they located, can we at least have a look at the land?” I ask kindly.

Tabitha huffs a sigh but agrees, “Yes, fine, follow me.”

I’m going to enjoy this; I don’t often play games but in this case I’m happy too, Tabitha will learn a harsh reality.

We are following Tabitha’s vehicle and Lily is looking really uncomfortable, I know it’s because of Tabitha and it pisses me off.
