“If she’s alive, then why hasn’t she contacted her parents? Let them know she is ok, staying of her own free will?” Clarance cut in, confusion in his voice at what he was hearing.

“Because she’s not there of her own free will.” Diesel answered for him. “While Dymtrius lusts after her, she’s considered his property now. She’s alive, scarred, somewhat safe with Symon in California. But she’s still property, a prisoner of Dymtrius’s. If she tried to leave of her own free will, it would be a slight against him, no matter how well he treats her.”

“Meaning what exactly?” Viper asked, anger in his voice.

“Meaning, knowing my brother, he’s got a collar on her with a leash. She’s not allowed to be out of his sight. It’s not uncommon in that type of world. While she’s not being sold to others, she’s still being used by him. He takes what he wants when he wants. He probably even has her branded as well. Right now, to survive, she may not be fighting him, because she’s afraid he’ll bring Symon back. It’s still rape, it’s still human trafficking.”

“One found. One to find.” Clarance mumbled, looking between Diesel and Kraven.

“What about Raven?” Viper asked, reading Clarance’s mind.

“Ah, the one who looks so much like her mother, even with the attitude. She’s in California. Should have seen Symon frothing at the mouth when that bitch Katrina brought her into the club. Paraded her right in front of us.”

Diesel paled at the information that she had just learned. “Symon has Raven? Where? We’ve searched that entire club and haven’t found her.”

At Kraven’s laughter, Diesel jumped up and gripped Kraven by the throat, making sure her nails dug into his skin, drawing blood. “Where…the…fuck…is…my…daughter?”

Diesel stared Kraven down as his angry eyes glared into her. She refused to back down. When Viper gripped Kraven’s hair to keep him from moving, Diesel stayed where she was, her nails digging into his throat, her teeth bared as she tried to keep from losing her shit.

“Have you checked his lair in the abandoned building behind the clubhouse? There’s a hidden tunnel that goes from the club to that building. It was the first thing Symon had done with the money he stole from Krieger. Krieger was aware of it and was marking Symon’s days down.”

“Where in the club?”

Once Diesel got her answers, she allowed Clarance to do what was needed to be done where Kraven was concerned. She used the site’s satellite phone to contact her crew. They were all going back to the club, Oz included. They had a tunnel to find. She secured more ‘night night’ drugs from Clarance, who decided he and his team were going with them.

Her nightmare was almost over. Almost.

FORTY-NINE

Viper’s mind was all over the place as they arrived back to the new safe house. His baby sister was alive. He didn’t know the shape she was in, considering it’s been four years, at most, since she’s been missing, but she was alive. He needed to help Diesel get through this, then he would assist his brothers in going for their sister. One thing at a time.

“Go! Your sister is alive. I know you have a brother with the NYPD and one who is FBI. You all have been looking for her for years. Take your boys and go get her. My team and I can handle things here. It’s almost over. All of it.” Diesel’s statement brought him back to the present.

“We do this together. I’m not leaving you here to face your past alone. She’s alive. That’s what matters. A few more days won’t matter. I can let my brothers know. They can get the planning done. When we deal with this side of things, then we join them. Together. We will shut the Golden Fangs down, together.”

“Together.”

Hand in hand, Viper and Diesel walked into the safe house. They weren’t sure what the next several hours would bring them. Either way, they were doing it together. As a unit. That’s what mattered to them right now.

“What did he have to say?” Pratt asked, getting the attention of everyone in the room.

“More than I expected.” Diesel answered, sighing as she sat down in the chair that Viper had pulled out for her.

“Anything we can use?” York asked, leaning forward, her elbows on the table.

“Loads.” Viper admitted, rubbing his face with his hands. Exhaustion setting in.

“Oz, when you and Taz did your scan, you found Katrina easily. Did you find anything that made you question the foundations?” Viper asked, looking over at Oz and Taz.

“That’s actually what Taz and I were talking about when you walked in. There was a section of the wall that made little sense. Looked like the room Katrina was being held in was bigger than it really was on the blueprints. It looked like a black hole but no heat signatures.”

“Would electronics show up on the heat signature?” Diesel asked looking over at Oz.

“Yeah, but I didn’t see anything.”

“Can we see the footage inside the room? I’m wondering if there was a door.” Viper added catching on to Diesel’s train of thought.

“Yeah, give me a minute. Let me pull it up.” Oz agreed, working on the computer.
