“You were an underprepared Daddy,” I repeated, daring to look up at him.
His eyes widened. “Are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
“Mmmhhh.” I nodded.
“You want me to be your Daddy?”
“Yas huh.” I nodded again.
He shot me a panty-melting grin. “Yas huh?” he repeated.
I took a breath and nodded for a third time. “Yes, Daddy.”
He cupped my face with his hands and pressed his lips to mine. “I would love nothing more than to have you be mine, Little one.”
I smiled as his words washed over me. For the first time in my entire life I belonged to someone.
“I want to be yours,” I agreed.
“Then it’s settled,” he said, pressing another kiss to my lips. “You’re mine. My Little, my girlfriend, my love.”
His love. I repeated the words over in my head and decided nothing had ever sounded better.
Epilogue
Axel
I shook my head at the sight of four Little girls piled into the back seat of my truck. There was no telling what they were up to. Waking over to the giggling gaggle, I watched the silliness.
“Look, Daddy! We all fit,” Paisley said, grinning up at me.
“You most certainly do not fit.”
“We do! See! You even have enough room to shut the doors,” Reagan argued.
I raised an eyebrow and propped my boot on the footboard. “There are only three seatbelts and I see four Little girls.”
“Oh, that’s okay. You just gotta drive really careful, Daddy. I believe in you,” my Little imp sassed.
“Yeah, Uncle Axel, we believe in you!” Emily added from her sandwich position between Paisley and Dallas.
“I believe…” I whispered as I leaned in closer to the group.
Four small bodies leaned forward, eyes dancing in excitement at the chance to hear my confession.
“I believe…. you all need spankings.”
Dramatic groans filled the cab of the truck and I laughed loudly, full of joy.
It was a happy day even with their dramatics. Paisley and I had purchased a home together and all of our friends were helping us move in today.
Selling my old home and buying a new one with Paisley had been bittersweet. At first I’d struggled with feeling like I was leaving all of my memories with Junie behind. Fear of forgetting her made me anxious and left me feeling emotionally raw, but I also understood how badly Paisley needed something to call her own.
She’d never had a real home before and asking her to move into mine and Junie’s home wasn’t going to fulfill that need in her life. It had been a difficult time as I processed through some hard feelings, but thankfully Maddox had helped me work through it. He’d listened to all of my worries, then reminded me that Junie’s memory would live on each day I woke up and chose to love. He'd helped me move forward. He’d also helped me remember that she’d want this for me and assured me I would never forget her.
Soft arms wrapping around my neck brought me from my thoughts, and I smiled as Paisley climbed from the truck and into my arms. Her soft scent surrounded me and I breathed her in.
“I love you, Daddy.”
