“We wanted to get you glitter slime, but the Daddies said this would last longer and be more fun for you.”
I didn’t know if it would be more fun, but Axel probably appreciated the choice..
The other present contained a coloring book, glitter crayons, and a super soft blanket.
“Thank you, this was really nice of you,” I whispered, holding the fuzzy blanket up to my face.
“We hate that you got an ouchie,” Reagan said.
“And that Emily was being a thunder-twat,” Dallas added.
“Bitty,” her Daddy, Pike, warned.
“Daddy, she was being a total thunder-twat,” she argued.
“I mean, she’s not wrong,” Reagan agreed.
“Ray Ray,” both her Daddies warned.
“We love her, but she made a big mistake,” Reagan countered..
“That she knows about and is ready to apologize for,” Maddox, one of Reagan’s Daddies, corrected.
“I think that when we love someone, we want to protect them with everything we have. Emily was trying to protect Paisley. I think her heart was in the right place, her mouth just wasn’t,” Axel said as he walked into the room, carrying four beers and three juice boxes.
I didn’t say anything, but I thought their words over. They brought me peace. They were upset for me, but they still loved Emily. That was a new concept for me. Loving someone despite their mistakes.
Chapter Eight
Axel
I woke up to a weight on my chest. Lifting my hand, I brushed through Paisley’s hair. “Did you sleep well, baby?”
“Yes, Sir.”
Her sweet voice spoke from the bathroom door. I turned my head to see her standing in the doorway, holding onto her crutches. I hated that she was so clumsy on those damn things. I wanted to carry her everywhere, but she was so determined to go back to work. I had to let her get used to them. A pain on my chest made me look down.
What the fuck? “Ouch, shit!” I yelled as the cat from hell stared back at me, her murder-mittens ready to pounce again. Quickly pushing the erroneously named creature off of me, I stood from the bed and stretched.
Paisley still stood at the bathroom door. Her eyes were huge and she was staring at my cock. “Wow,” she reverently whispered.
“You’re good for my head, baby,” I whispered, walking over and kissing her on the forehead.
“Which one?”
I hadn’t been expecting that, and a hearty laugh burst from my lungs.
“Can I touch it?” she whispered.
“Can I get some food in you first?”
“Can I get that in me first?”
I smacked her butt as I headed into the bathroom. “No, sassy pants.”
“Bummer,” she mumbled.
I smiled again. I wasn’t even fully awake yet and she already had me grinning like a loon. She really was a delight to have in my life.
