“I missed you,” she muttered against my lips before kissing me.

“You never have to. This dick is yours too.”

“Only mine?”

“Mhm.” She had no fucking idea. I didn’t want anyone before her, and there was no doubt in my mind that I’d want anyone after her. My dick wouldn’t either.

“You promise?”

“I promise, baby. All of me is yours.”

That seemed to satisfy her, because she wrapped her arms around me and began a slow and steady ride. Outside of reminding her to breathe, no words were spoken between us. We let our connection do the talking. Her pussy molded against my dick like it was made for me. Like she was made for me. And there was no doubt in my mind that our time together at this cabin was meant to solidify that.

Neo

Two Days Later

Saint had warmed my heart. He was becoming the big brother I’d never had. Music had bound us, but our connection was growing deeper than that. I was on the phone with Harmony, and we were updating each other on our lives. When he heard about what Steven and Asia had done to my store, I had to beg him not to go pull up on him.

My dad and cousins wanted to do the same thing, but I didn’t want them getting into trouble because of me. Merc didn’t tell me what his people had done, but it must have been something because Steven blew my phone up so much, I had to block him. Before we’d even gotten off the phone, Saint had sent ten thousand dollars to my Venmo in two transactions for me to rebuild my inventory. He also offered any room I wanted in his nonprofit building, In Harmony, for me to use for any events I wanted to have until I reopened my store.

I cried like a baby before getting off the phone. Saint had always been that kind of man. He didn’t talk much; he was a man of action. I didn’t ask anything of him, but God blessed me through him out of the kindness of his heart.

Once I washed my face and composed myself, I went to find Merc. He was on a FaceTime call with Marz. I was going to leave them alone, but Merc called me over to see Marz.

“Hi, cutie,” I spoke with a wave. He looked so cute in his little cowboy hat.

“Hi, ma’am.”

“Aww, aren’t you a little gentleman, just like your daddy.” Marz’s eyes shifted toward Merc, who was grinning with pride. “I hear you like animals.”

“I do!” Marz sat up in his seat. “I think horses are my favorite. Do you like animals?”

“I love animals. I’m scared of horses though.”

“You are?” He giggled, covering his snaggle-toothed smile. “Why?”

“Well, when I tried to learn how to ride one, it bucked a little too hard and I fell off.”

Marz gasped before laughing again. “Did it hurt?”

“A lot.” I laughed. “I haven’t tried again since that.”

“What we say about fear?” Merc asked.

“It’s just an emotion, and our emotions can lead us, but we have to navigate them logically.”

“Exactly. Aye, Marz,” Merc said, redirecting his attention to his son, “you wanna teach Ms. Neo how to ride a horse?”

“Ooh, that’ll be fun! Yes! I know all about horses now.”

I chuckled as Merc said, “Aight, so when it gets a little cooler in Jasper Lane, I’ll take you to Karrington’s ranch, and you can show her what you got.”

“Awesome!” he yelled, pumping his fist. “Don’t worry, Ms. Neo. I won’t let you fall.”
