I looked back at the closed door behind me before shaking off the thoughts trying to creep in. I’d made my choice in there, and even though there was no way he could know if I followed his orders, a part of me still wanted to.

“Leaving.”

I was walked through the halls to the door I’d entered hours before, the spring night chilly without the sun warming the wind. The guard stayed on the landing as I descended, and for a moment I considered asking him to walk me to my car. I had the cash I’d been paid for working, and it would be just my luck to be robbed, but the glow of the lights at the end of the alley and over the parking lot gave me the confidence to go on my own.

Slipping into my car, I looked back at the building that seemed like nothing more than a typical warehouse. I’d learned the rumors were definitely true, and I’d had a taste of what working in a place like that could be like.

Grinning, I started the engine to head home.

Chapter Eight

Alexandros

I slipped off the stage as soon as I saw her pass through the doors to the hallway. I had to hurry to make it out the front of the building, but I spotted her as she worked her way through the parking lot to get into an old Jeep. There was a pause before the lights came on, and then she drove away.

Fucking her should have sated any curiosity I’d felt, but even after covering her in my cum, I craved her. She’d barely been out of my grasp fifteen minutes, yet there was an urge to follow her and drag her beneath me again.

To keep her there, permanently.

I suddenly regretted not paying more attention and getting her name, but I remembered Ilias had said he’d found her in a diner on the north side of the city. It wouldn’t take much to track her down.

Grinning into the dark, I nodded.

It was time.

I’d had a plan since I was eight, that I’d learn the old ways and craft furniture the way they had in the past, when it had been made to last generations, and then I’d open my own shop to leave to the children I’d have with my omega mate. A simple plan, but a good one, and I had achieved it all, except the last part.

An omega mate, and children to pass my legacy to.

My kitten had already had her first heat, so she could be claimed at any time, but if I wanted to breed her, the best time would be during her heat, and it was close. I’d scented it in her slick, seen it in the way she responded to me. A week or two, tops, and she’d be lost in the throes of her cycle, and perfectly willing to accept any alpha available at the right time.

Turning on my heel, I made my way back inside, searching for Ilias. He’d been trying to wipe off the stains of his own release when I’d left, and I spotted him heading down the hall as I came through the doors that separated the club from the private rooms.

“Ilais, wait.”

He turned to me with a raised brow, clearly disgruntled at being stopped, but he waited until I reached him.

“Where did you find her?”

There was no reason to waste time when it would be obvious what I wanted no matter how I approached the subject. His grin made my chest tighten with a growl I barely held back.

“Smitten, are we?”

“Shut up and tell me what you know, so you can go change out of your mess.”

His expression soured and he huffed.

“Her name is Sharon, and she works at a shitty little place called Frankie’s out in the burbs. That’s all I know.”

It wasn’t much, but it was enough.

“You can go now. No one wants to smell your shame.”

Scoffing, he grinned again.

“You don’t smell much better.”

I cocked a brow, smirking as I spotted the white stains on his suit.
