As quickly as he appeared, Sebastian is walking down the hallway, leaving me breathless for no reason and wanting more.
So.
Much.
More.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Thalia
I’M NERVOUS. LIKE, so nervous, I completely slam into Blake, just like I did the day I met her. She starts to curse before realizing it’s just me again. “Where’s the fire?” she asks, laughing.Wait—Blake? She’s supposed to be with Owen.
I brush myself off, standing up. “Nowhere. Why aren’t you with Owen?” I try to ask this carefully because I’m going crazy with anticipation. I need Owen not to be at the apartment when I get back. I have a sex date.
She eyes me suspiciously. “I’m on my way to meet him now. Are you okay?”
“I’m great…uh, gotta blast,” I joke, smiling. “Call me when you guys are on your way back, okay?”
“Thalia, what are you up to?”
I shake my head, biting my lip to keep from smiling wider. “I’ll tell you later. Take your time, though. There’s no reason to rush. Internships are a big deal, so be sure to ask lots of questions.”
I’m so excited. It’s like Christmas. Who would have thought I’d compare climbing Sebastian fucking Walker like a tree to Christmas. Christmas also happens to be my favorite holiday. Wow, I need to calm down. I cannot compare the two, or I’ll never be able to look at Christmas the same way.
It surprises me to find the living room and the kitchen empty when I get home. I figured he’d be out here. Actually, I don’t know what I expected. Sebastian to be waiting for me naked, wearing a bow for me to unwrap his dick? I shake my head, trying to rid the image from my brain. I really can’t compare them.
I drop off my bag in my room and freshen up before knocking on his door.
When he opens the door, he laughs. “How much caffeine have you had? You’re bouncing like an energized bunny.”
My jaw hangs a little. “You’re unbelievable.” I can’t be the only one excited that this is happening.
Bash leans down and kisses me gently, just like I wished he would have last night. I can’t help but laugh, effectively breaking the kiss. I feel certifiably crazy right now. There’s no way this is really happening.
“Thalia?”
“Yes?”
“Relax. You’re so wound up right now it’s not even funny.”
He’s right. Damn. I never thought I would admit that, even to myself.
Sebastian tugs me completely into the room, shutting and locking his bedroom door. I step forward, kissing him again. I slow down this time, savoring every second of it. This isn’t meant to be rushed. He keeps pace with me, letting me decide how fast or slow this will go. So slow. I’m drawing this out because there’s no possible way I’m leaving this room without thoroughly enjoying myself.
I bring my hand up to cup Sebastian’s jaw, feeling the slight prick of his stubble against my skin as he kisses my neck. “Hey, Bash?” I ask, smiling triumphantly.
“What, Thalia?”
“Change your mind yet?” I ask, and Sebastian shakes his head, smirking as he looks at me.
“No. Have you?”
“Nope.” I rise onto my toes, kissing him again as Bash grabs hold of my hips to pull me flush against him. I can feel how much he wants me. I can also feel a rough outline of his size, and I’m honestly wondering if it will fit. My thoughts are soon replaced with asking myself why I didn’t propose doing something like this sooner. I know the past is unforgivable, but this feels pretty damn awesome.
I moan as Bash drags his teeth over my bottom lip, pulling on it. This is a game of cat and mouse. I back away from his grip as he looks at me cautiously. “Lia?”
Wandering over to his desk, I shut the textbooks, pushing them to the side before climbing on the desk to sit. Over the weekend, I wondered what it’d be like to make out with Sebastian in this position. I toy with the bottom of my shirt, reveling underneath his watchful eye. His eyes widen as I lift it over my head, revealing the top of the lingerie I bought in Paris. I never planned to wear it for anyone, but the satisfaction I feel when his jaw hangs is as empowering as Penelope said it would be. “Cat got your tongue?” I ask, kicking my legs playfully.
