“You are my inspiration, my muse, the love of my life.” Her eyes were glassy, the tears threatening to spill over onto her pretty face. “Whenever I hear a love song, I think of you and how grateful I am that you almost hit me with your Wrangler all those years ago.” Everyone laughed, including the beautiful woman in front of me. “I thank God every day for bringing you into my life. I don’t ever get to cherish you enough.”

A tear ran the length of her beautiful face as I held the box in front of her and flipped the lid open. Amber gasped in shock, and Ryan just laughed. He’d known I’d been planning this.

“I love sneaking around and kissing you when the kids aren’t looking. I love waking up next to you every day. I love seeing you every time I look at our kids. I love how you take care of me and our children. I love everything about you, and I have loved everything about you for twelve years now.”

Pausing, I got up from the chair and pushed it to the side so I could get down on my knee. Looking up into her gorgeous, blue eyes, I licked my dry, bottom lip wishing I’d had a sip of my beer first.

“Please, would you give me the honor of marrying you again, to renew our vows in front of our kids at the lake house, where I always seem to fall in love with you all over again?” It was the question I’d wanted to ask her back on vacation, but the kids had interrupted us before I could.

She nodded her head over and over again, diving off her chair into my arms, her hands sliding into my hair as her lips brushed against mine in a passion-fueled kiss. Just as quickly as it started, she pulled back. “Yes, of course, I’ll marry you again, Asshole.” I laughed, grabbing her hand so I could slide the ring onto her finger. “How can I say no to a man like you when you say the sweetest words about me?” She laughed, and everyone cheered at the table, the sound of champagne flutes hitting each other echoed in the dining room.

“I just want to spend the rest of my life showing you how much I love you.” I brushed my nose against hers and smiled.

She always made me the happiest man alive, and I was the lucky bastard who got to call her mine.
