I’ve been waiting forever for my dream guy and I’m happy to say I’ve found him.

He pulls back. “Can you say it again in Korean? I want to learn it.”

“Sure. Saranghae.”

His eyebrows come together as he slowly says it. “Saranghae.”

He sounds so, so cute saying it. And romantic.

I grin at him. “Perfect.”

He chuckles. “I guess Chase won’t be the only guy in love singing in the shower.”

I laugh, too. Then my eyes light up. “Oh my gosh. Speaking of singing, I totally forgot to ask you something!”

“What?”

“Do you want to go to Perfectly Messy’s concert this Saturday? I have a plus one and would love for you to come.”

“Perfectly Messy?”

“It’s Evie and Noah’s band. They’re Rylee’s brother and his wife. They’ve been touring all over the country and are finally performing here in Edenbury. They’re so awesome. You’ll love them.”

He grins. “Sounds like tons of fun. Of course I’d love to go with you.”

“Yay.” I pull his face close to mine. “A few minutes of making out and then we’re annihilating the Vampire Lord.”

“Aye, aye.”

We end up making out more than gaming. But hey, I’m not complaining.

Chapter Thirty-Five

Mia

“I think we need to ban a certain young man from this house,” I hear Dad tell Mom. His tone is light, so I know he’s joking, but either way, nothing can keep me away from the love of my life.

“Mia! Declan,” Mom says.

I reluctantly pull my lips off Declan and give them an exasperated look. “Mother and Father, how dare you deny me the chance to kiss my amazing boyfriend?”

Declan, eyes wide, holds out his hands. “Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Park. We’ll try to keep our kissing to a minimum.”

We’re in the living room, getting ready to leave for Evie and Noah’s concert. I’ve only heard them live a few times and they were incredible. I’m really looking forward to hearing them again. And rocking out to their songs and music.

Dad smiles, clapping Declan on the back. “We were just teasing. We know how crazy you guys are about each other. But please, please don’t kiss my little girl in front of me.”

“Dad!”

He hits his chest. “I can’t handle my youngest growing up. I think I might pass out.” He drops to the floor.

I roll my eyes at Declan. “See where I get it from?”

He just chuckles.

Mom drops down next to Dad. “We need to leave, Ji-Ho.”

Dad lifts his head. “Please, Mia. Don’t grow up.”
