CHAPTER TEN
Daniella
I’d be damned if I’d spend the night above a sex club, frustrated and feeling sorry for myself. Especially while Shane was downstairs partaking in a jolly Christmas Eve threesome. No, thank you. There was at least one bright spot, though. The test results revealed I was clean. Eric hadn’t given me anything.
Although my little confession to Shane earlier about wanting to feel something hadn’t embarrassed me, what I did hate was that he saw me the same boring way I saw myself. Practical, safe and completely uninspired. But the night he’d touched me, something had changed; a craving I hadn’t known existed was now unleashed. I refused to put it back into a box. So it was with a mix of anxiety and excitement that I looked forward to the ‘boyfriend experience.’
“Hi, honey, how you feeling?” Cindy, one of the girls who worked at the club, walked me down the corridor. She was beautiful, with long black hair and legs for miles. A stunning tattoo winding down one of her arms had me staring. I didn’t mean to, but in my dull, corporate world, I didn’t see women like her.
“Okay.”
“You like the ink?”
“It’s beautiful. Is it a serpent?”
“It is. And on this side is a mermaid.” She showed me the underside of her arm, revealing a raven-haired mermaid with a gorgeous tail.
“Now, then, this will be your room. Javier is wonderful, so you’ll be in good hands.”
I took a deep breath. “I hope so.”
She led me into a space which surprised me. It was a beautifully decorated room with a bed in the center and a gorgeous chandelier overhead. Opulent carpet had my shoes sinking into it. In addition to the bed, there was a small sofa next to a table with refreshments.
“Are you nervous?”
She seemed pure and honest, making me truthful in my reply. “Yes. Very.”
“It’s understandable, but I promise Javier will ease your worries. He’s very easy to talk to.” She suddenly grabbed her earpiece. “Sorry, hold on.”
I watched curiously as she flicked her headset. “I’m on my way.” To me, she added, “I’ll be right back. Have some champagne and relax.”
Sure. Easy for her to say. As soon as the door closed, I had to fight the urge to flee. I also was nervous Shane would find out about this and put a stop to it. But then again, he had a performance tonight. Most likely, he wouldn’t notice where I was.
What in the hell was I doing? My subconscious answered, “Having long overdue, great sex.” She was hard to argue with.
Cindy came back in with an apologetic smile. “Sorry about that. Javier requested I get you ready for him.”
“Ready how?”
“You should disrobe. You mentioned you wanted something kinky in the profile sheet, so I’ll use silk straps to tie you to the bed and a blindfold if that’s okay.”
I gulped. I had said I wanted something other than plain vanilla sex. But now the thought had me nervous. “Sure. But, um, but can you make sure I can get my hands out if I need to? I’m a bit apprehensive about that part.”
She nodded. “Of course. It’ll be our secret.”
Once I stripped out of my dress and undergarments, I found Cindy appraising me with frank interest. “You’re incredibly sexy.”
“Um, thank you.” I climbed on the bed and once again fought my nerves.
“Here, take this. It’ll help.” She held out the shot glass.
I sniffed the contents, immediately identifying tequila. Bottoms up.
“Good girl.”
My body started to shake against my will as Cindy fastened the silken ties above my head. I was happy she did as promised, keeping them loose enough to get out.
“Relax,” she cajoled. “I’m going to rub some oil on you. It’s pleasure-point heating oil.”
