Her brow furrows. “He wasn’t there when I got home.”

“Ah, no. I kicked him out pretty quickly afterward.”

“Harsh,” Alli mutters.

I give Hayley a beseeching look. “You got home only a few minutes after he left. I was kind of freaking out, and I couldn’t talk about it yet.”

Hayley raises an eyebrow. “And last night?”

“Uh... What about last night?”

“Monica!”

I groan. Last night had been even hotter than Monday night. After we’d satisfied ourselves on the couch, we’d barely made it to his room before we were all over each other again.

And that still hadn’t been enough.

I didn’t intend to spend the night, but when I’d made a move to get out of bed, Cameron had held me back and used his mouth and hands to convince me to stay a little longer.

He was very persuasive.

Even so, I didn’t mean to fall asleep, to spend the entire night in his arms. Though I wasn’t complaining this morning when I woke up to Cameron’s fingers gliding up my thigh, over my hip, and down my belly.

“Earth to Monica.” Claire waves her hand as Hayley shakes her head and finally sits down. “Judging by your blissed out expression?—”

“Your sex face,” Alli interjects.

Claire snorts. “Right. Judging by your sex face, I’m guessing you had a good time with Cameron.”

Alli smirks. “A very good time.”

Hayley drops her head into her hands. “Ugh. This is so weird.”

“You think it’s weird Cameron and I hooked up?”

She furrows her brow. “It’s not that.” Tilting her head, she adds, “In a strange way, you two make sense.”

My eyes widen. “Seriously?”

“Yeah. He’s different with you.” She shrugs. “But it’s weird to be talking about Cameron’s sex life.” She shudders. “It’s like talking about my brother’s sex life. I know he has sex, but I don’t want to think about it. Ever.”

I nod. “I get it. Out of respect for you and your friendship with Cameron, we won’t talk about it anymore.”

“Nice try, Monica,” Claire says. “Maybe don’t go into every little detail?—”

“You can share those later when Hayley’s not here,” Alli interrupts.

“But you can at least fill us in on how you went from not being able to stand him to getting up close and personal with him.”

I study their faces and realize they’re not going to let me wait until Anna shows up.

Sighing, I say, “Fine,” and then summarize the weekend, glossing over Cameron’s family and focusing more on the time we spent together alone and how that led to us getting naked the night before. And last night.

“So, what now?” Claire asks. “Are you two together?”

“Not exactly.”

“He doesn’t want to commit?” Gina asks.
