“Darlin,” he growls. “You don’t know how much that pleases me. How turned on that makes me.”

I’m not sure I’m ready for anything more intense than I’ve already experienced. But… I study the man in front of me. Tall. Dark. Lean. Handsome. Possessive. Caring. Serious. Cocky. I think I’m destined to find out.

As Oliver walks into the room, the energy around us snaps. He has so many of the same traits as Axel, but he’s also lighthearted and playful. They’re everything I need.

Axel grips my chin and yanks my head around. “This is my moment. Rylee, I love you, and while I enjoy staying here, I want you in my home.”

“Our home.”

“Shut it. I’m going to throat punch you.”

I laugh as happiness rolls over me like a tidal wave. Why did I think Axel wasn’t playful? He comes off as the serious one, yet he plays with Sunny and jokes with his brother.

“I’m serious, lover.” His nails dig into my skin. “You’re living with me, and he’s just along for the ride. So, what do you want?”

“I’d love to move in with you.” I waggle my eyebrows. “And Oliver.”

“Wench.” He drops my feet to the floor, spins me around, swats my ass, and growls into my ear, “I’m going to take this sweet ass tonight. Are you ready for it?”

“I….” My voice comes out in a squeak.

“Mommy got spanked.” Sunny claps and dances around the room.

Jesus. My face flames with heat. “Yes, she did.”

“And she’ll get it again if she isn’t a good girl.” He lets go of me as I spin back around. “She’d better be a very good girl tonight.”

“Stop it.” I ignore the blood thumping in my panties and collect Sunny to gather her sleeping gear.

Chapter Nineteen

Axel

The second I send Sunny off with Sage, I march into the living room, grab Rylee’s hand, draw her to her feet, and lead her upstairs. I should let her continue sleeping. I should have asked her to follow me. I should have been polite. I should care where my brother is, but I don’t.

Waiting for Sage to show up was the longest two hours of my life. She was at a friend’s house and couldn’t break away as quickly as I wanted. Needed. I ball my hands into fists. I love Rylee and want more children in the future, but I’ll have to learn to control my obsession with her.

Watching her curled up on the loveseat with her hair fanned around her, wearing one of Oliver’s T-shirts and nothing underneath, sent me into caveman mode.

My teeth grind together. She told him she loved him first, and that has my control snapping. Not that I didn’t already know she loves him. I see it in her eyes. And not that I question her feelings for me. I feel that in her touch. But it should have been when we were together and alone. Not with a cute little pixie keeping me from sealing our bond together.

After twisting the doorknob, I wait for her to join me and walk to the middle of the room. She licks her lips and fiddles with the neck of her T-shirt. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s not your fault.” I shake my head slowly. “Oliver shouldn’t have started something we couldn’t finish. Not when Sunny was here.”

Oliver steps into the bedroom behind Rylee and places his hands on her shoulders. “You’re acting like an ass. This is all because I got to ask her first, and you are butthurt.”

“No….” I glare at him. “I’m not. I would’ve preferred we had that conversation in a more romantic moment. We had sex for the first time at a sex club. And then we tell Rylee we love her on a random Saturday with dirty dishes lying around, no flowers, no chocolate, no crackling fireplace, or candlelight. It was four o’clock in the afternoon under fluorescent lights, and we couldn’t even give her a proper kiss.”

Rylee’s eyes narrow as she slaps her hands on her hips. “I’m not some high-end diva.”

“I didn’t say that you were, but you should be treated like the queen that you are. You were forced into a marriage. You’ve never been wined and dined. You’ve never had a man open the door for you or place his hand on your back as he let you lead the way. At least not until now, and I don’t want you missing out on those things anymore.”

“Asshole.” Oliver shakes his head. “You’re right. As usual. I should’ve waited until we were alone.” He snaps the door shut. Not that anyone will interrupt our evening.

Rylee glares at the both of us. “Let’s get something straight. I don’t need all the fancy things that your money can buy. I only want what all little girls dream of–a home, a man….” Her eyes dance as she grabs the hem of her T-shirt. “Or two men who love her, and a family.”

She slings the shirt over her head and drops it to the floor. It takes all the strength I have to focus on her face and not to ogle her sexy body. Her naked sexy body. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how beautiful she is with her long legs, curves, and perfect tits. The round globes rise and fall with her breath. Her perfect nipples stand out against her pale skin, begging for my mouth to suck her in. There’s nothing I crave more than the quick inhalation of her breath whenever she’s pleased.
