We get back in the car and we pull out of Marco’s

driveway. “I have a surprise for you,” I say as I circle my

thumb on her thigh. I really think you’re going to love it.

“Vincent Aramani,are you taking me out on a date?” She

smiles. “A date? Who said this was a date,” I say

sarcastically.

Emma giggles,”Sarah told me about it while we was

shopping and I wasn’t supposed to say anything.”

“Man, I’m going to stick my foot so far up Marco’s ass.

Neither of them can keep a damn secret,” we laugh

together.

We pull up to the top of the cliff. “What’s this,” Emma asks.

I get out of the car and walk over to her car door and help

her out.

“This is for my queen.”

” Vince, this is gorgeous! You did this,” she asked as she

walks over and leans down to smell the roses.

“Ma and Pops helped. They came and set it up.”

Ma placed a nice,soft blanket on the ground and places a

picnic basket on it and placed a container of peanut butter

cookies next to it. She also placed the big vase of roses on

the other side of the basket. Pops put lanterns on the oak

tree and hung up some strong lights leading up to the tree.

“I love it”,Emma exclaimed and she gave me a hug and

kissed me deeply. The rest of the night we laid around on

the blanket in each other’s arms. Getting to know each

other, for real this time.

“Your favorite color is yellow,” she asks, “For real?
