“Yeah, anything!” He says as he walks closer to
me. I fiddle with my fingers, “What exactly do you
do?”
“Do you want the truth or a lie?” He sighs
“Always the truth.” I can’t stand liars. I’ve been lied to
my whole life.

“I hunt and kill men.” He says this as if it’s nothing.
“I’m not going to hurt you! Ever! I kill men who don’t pay
us, who rat us out, who take advantage of women and
children.”
“Oh, so does that mean, when you found me in the
warehouse, that you already knew what Joseph and Ian
were doing. ”
“Yes and no. They were supposed to be distributing guns.
Which is fine. Especially when we can’t supply everyone.
And we don’t want to get into any turf wars. But when we
showed up that’s when we realized what they were actually
doing.”

“Vince, I don’t think you’re a bad guy. Thank you for
all of this!”
“You don’t have to thank me,but I have to leave again. I’ll
be back soon. I promise.”

I had another meeting with pops. He thinks that Ian
and Joseph are getting closer. I hate that I’m away from
Emma again. I’m glad I bought her that phone.
