He nodded and we all walked out to the SUV.

“What’s your next stop?” Caleb asked.

“I’m meeting Fox,” I answered.

His brows rose. “Why?”

“It’s a secret,” I sang.

“You’re not supposed to keep secrets from your pack,” Triston said.

We resumed crawling through downtown traffic, though it wasn’t as bad now that it was within working hours.

“It’s fine,” I said.

“If Fox is helping her, I’m sure it’s fine,” Ezio said, trying to help me.

“I think my fathers and I need a talk,” Caleb grumbled.

Sighing, I shook my head. “Remember how you were irritated that your parents treat you like you’re five sometimes? Have you forgotten that I’m thirty and have been handling my own shit most of my life?”

“You are part of a pack now, which means you don’t have to handle your own shit now,” Caleb countered.

My head fell back and I closed my eyes. “I swear, you males are so insufferable.”

“You pronounced invaluable wrong,” Triston said.

Ezio laughed.

“Come on, what are you up to?” Caleb asked.

“None ya,” I replied with a wide smile.

We pulled into the parking garage and made our way up in the elevator to the office Fox had told me to meet him at, which turned out to be Rhys’s architect firm.

Rhys and Fox looked up from a blueprint they were reviewing on the table and smiled at us.

“Morning,” I greeted as we walked in.

“What’s he doing here?” Fox asked as he looked at Caleb.

Caleb folded his arms across his chest. “You’re meeting with the woman I’m courting behind my back. I came to ensure you aren’t putting her in danger.”

Fox scowled. “Rude.”

Rhys shook his head and sighed. “I can’t believe you’re so untrusting of your own fathers.”

“I’m untrusting of anyone when it comes to her,” Caleb said.

Walking forward, I showed Fox my new ID. “Name change and new IDs are complete.”

“Perfect!” he said, took the ID from me, and headed towards a copying machine. “I’ll scan this and you can sign the papers.”

“Sign what papers?” Caleb asked.

“You want to tell them?” Fox asked.

“No,” I replied. “I don’t want to tell them.”
