Caleb’s eyes widened slightly and he pushed into me, stretching me and making me moan. He thrust into me hard and fast, making me come twice before he came, pulled out, and Riddick took his place between my legs.
Caleb untied my wrists, and while Riddick fucked me, Caleb kissed me.
I came three more times before Riddick grunted and found his own release.
After throwing their condoms away, they spooned me on each side, stroking my body and kissing my face, neck, and shoulders. Pure boneless bliss had me smiling as I enjoyed their attention. Confessing all these things had take some weight off of my shoulders.
“Thank you,” Caleb whispered.
Chuckling, I asked, “Shouldn’t I be saying that?”
“I love you, Ember,” Caleb whispered.
I sucked in a breath and looked at him, but he put a hand over my mouth. “Don’t say anything. I know your life has caused insecurities and I thought you might have these fears, but just so you know, it’s not the connection that makes me love the way you smile or the way your nose crinkles when you’re annoyed.”
“We love you because of who you are,” Riddick whispered and kissed my temple. “I love you, Ember, because you are a beautiful, sweet, strong, and amazing person. I love you because you throw yourself into training to learn to protect others. Because you take the time to say goodnight to each of us, even if we aren’t in the same room, before you go to bed.”
“Mating must be decided on by all people and it’s not something we’ve discussed with Branson and Triston yet,” Caleb said.
“We know things haven’t been the easiest and this is hardly the courting environment we wanted to experience with a potential mate, but we’re trying our best,” Riddick said.
Caleb kissed my forehead and said, “Okay, enough seriousness. Let’s shower and then get breakfast.”
He removed his hand and both slid out of the bed, leaving me blinking after them.
They … loved me.
Chapter
Eighteen
“You have to swear you won’t tell anyone else about what you’re about to participate in,” Jolie said to Leona as we stood in Leona’s backyard.
“I do not like this, but I will swear not to tell anyone as long as it’s not something that is going to kill one of you,” Leona replied.
Jolie shrugged. “Close enough.” She turned and nodded at me. “Go ahead.”
Centering myself, I opened a portal beneath Leona and one beneath Jolie to send them to the front yard.
Leona’s eyes widened and she gasped.
Dropping them through it, I sealed it once they were through. My legs wobbled and heart pounded from the amount of magic I had used. Taking a shuddering breath, I jogged around the house to see Leona staring up at the sky.
“Great job!” Jolie praised. “How did it feel to open it, but hold us from falling through right away?”
“It was much easier this time. Now that I know to use telekinesis for holding you while the portal opens, my mind is able to compartmentalize them,” I answered as I slowed my heart and breathing, the magic depletion much stronger now that I had done two portals. I had to increase my stamina, to make sure I could do it for four portals.
“You … opened a portal and sent me to the front yard,” Leona whispered. She lowered her head to look at me. “Why is this a secret?”
“Because it causes a huge magic strain and is our ace up the sleeve to get everyone to safety,” Jolie answered.
“And because Caleb won’t like it,” Leona added with a soft, knowing smile.
We both nodded.
Stepping up to Leona, I took her hands in mine and said, “I’d like your permission to have the portals open to here.”
Her eyes opened a second, but then she smiled and squeezed my hands. “Permission granted. Just try to avoid letting enemies go through the portals, too.”
