Ivy doesn’t stop grinding against me, her hot tongue licking up the side of my neck as I force myself away from her.

I move to my knees, and she sits up, biting her lip and gazing at me.

We sit like that for a beat, and she crawls towards me, looking up at me before resting her head against my chest.

“Thank you,” Ivy murmurs, wrapping her arms around me.

I stare down at her golden hair, her long legs, and thatfuckingass, and I curse the differences between us.

“Can I stay with you tonight?” Ivy asks, not moving her head.

I close my eyes, knowing a night with Ivy in the house with me in this state is fucking dangerous. I’ll need to jerk off forty times to get rid of my lust-filled haze.

But I can’t refuse her.

“Yeah, of course. I’ll sleep on the sofa.”

Only then does Ivy lift her head, confusion on her face.

“You won’t sleep with me in bed?”

I shake my head, groaning as she frowns.

“I can’t, Ivy. You know what will happen.”

Ivy bites her lip.

“So? Is it really that bad?”

She’s not thinking straight.

What about Melody?

Her dad?

“Ivy, if we fuck, imagine how awkward it will be. You’re Melody’s world,” I say, stroking her jawline. “I don’t want her to lose you because we got carried away.”

Ivy blinks, shaking her head again.

“Why would she lose me?”

She doesn’t get it, does she?

“It’s not like we could ever be together, Ivy.”

Ivy sits up, her hair spilling over her tanned shoulders as she glares at me. Even angry, she floors me.

“I wasn’t asking for a relationship, Griffin,” Ivy says tightly, reaching down to grab her shorts. “I was asking for a fuck.”

I wince at her words, watching as she dresses.

Doesn’t she know I can’t just be a fuck buddy for her? That if I don’t rein this in now, I’ll be like a fucking caveman, killing anyone who so much as looks at her. Ivy wants to leave this place; she said it herself. She wants to go to the big city, not stay fucking some old guy.

“Well, you’re not gonna get a fuck from me. You deserve more.”

Ivy rolls her eyes.

“Why, because I’m Kevin’s daughter? If I were Christina, wouldn’t you be balls deep in her right now?”
