“I’m good when you’re not staring at me.”
“Do I make you nervous in a bad way?” I ask, suddenly worried.
She smiles and shakes her head. “Not at all. I feel safe here.”
“Thank you,” I say, but wanting to say so much more.
“You’re thanking me. It’s me who’s going to be eternally grateful for what you’ve given me,” she says with her hand over her heart. “I’ll never be able to thank you enough.”
I want to overcome my shyness and make a move on her, because she doesn’t know it yet, but she’s already mine. I’m going to make sure of that.
Eventually.
“How often will we work here?” she asks, glancing over the top of her computer. Her eyes lock on mine. “In this office.”
She thinks it’s strange we’re in my home. I tell her Harrison Turner works from a city office. It isn’t true; I work from home, and I want her in my home. As much as this apartment is temporary, at least, until the penthouse sale goes through.
“We’re a modern company. I find working from home is more productive.”
“How many people work from home?”
“Most of the app developers,” I blurt.
“Is it easy developing apps?” she asks, and I smile at that. “Is this what I’m doing with this code?”
“If you understand it, it could be. Do you think you’re a secret geek?” I laugh.
“I could be,” she says, a massive smile slashes across her face.
“I thought you wanted to be a lawyer.”
She grins, her beautiful face lighting up as she laughs at me. “So did I, but I like this work. I know I’m not developing anything, but knowing this is what you do is... is sexy.”
I burst out laughing. “Coding is sexy?”
She doesn’t laugh with me. Her eyes focus on my face, and I think I’ve upset her.
Finally, her lips curve up into a lovely smile before she says, “You’ve got the best laugh.”
I stare at her, wanting to go to her but too scared of rejection. She’s gorgeous and I’m so far out of her league.
Tell her something nice about her.
When I don’t she blushes and quickly puts her head down and gets on with her work. But the more I think of it, it’s the snippetof detail I need, just knowing she already likes me, and I want to explore us together before she learns of my windfall.
That news is going to get to her soon, but luckily, up to now, the sale of the app has only been big on the technology websites, and even if she reads it, she would never think I’m Harrison Turner.
I sit back in my desk chair and I lick my bottom lip as I watch her type away at the computer in front of her. I love her company already. Only one week and it feels like I’ve known her my whole life. She’s an easy addition, especially to me, someone who likes his own company.
My eyes rove over her. Her teeth gnaw on her bottom lip as she types quickly on the keys. It’s a habit that I notice she has when she’s deep in concentration.
Today, she tied her blonde hair up in a ponytail, and there’s something about the column of her slender neck that I want to lick and mark as I pound into her and coat her pussy with my seed.
I bite back a groan as all the blood in my body rushes south.
What is happening to me?
She is happening.
