I shove him off as I start to panic. “Stop that.”
“What?” He cocks a brow at me. “I thought you girls liked it when a man pins you against the wall. I bet that got you all hot and bothered, yeah?” He bursts into a cackle, and his friends join him, all of their eyes raking across my body in a way that makes me feel sick.
“She’s a natural redhead,” one of them comments as his dark eyes drop between my legs. “No wonder Dr. Banks hired her. I bet he’s got a thing for that.”
“Ginger paradise.” The blond bites down on his bottom lip as he keeps blocking my exit.
My heart pounds heavily in my chest, and I glance behind me, the alternate choice being to take off back to Dr. Banks’s office.
Ugh.No way I’m askinghimfor help right now, so I stand there, frozen in my tracks.
“Does he fuck you on his desk?” the blond asks, making thrusting motions at me. The others laugh. “I bet he likes ‘em young.”
I shake my head. “No. Please let me go.”
“No, what?” his dark-eyed friend shoots back at me. “No, he doesn’t like ‘em young? Or no, he doesn’t fuck you on his desk? Which one is it, baby?”
“You know, I got a desk.” The one who pinned me against the wall steps closer. “I can fuck you so hard you forget Dr. Banks. I’ll call you a good girl, give you a fuckin’ gold star. How’s that sound?”
“Sounds like you need to be charged with sexual harassment,” a voice booms from behind him.
I catch my breath as the scent of Dr. Banks’s cologne washes over me. “I believe I’ll be reporting this to the university. None of you will survive the semester here.”
“Dude, I didn’t say anything!” The third one, who remained quiet, finally speaks up.
“Well, you didn’t stop them, either, did you? You’re just as guilty,” Dr. Banks growls. “You all need to get the hell out of here before I call the police.”
“Fuck off!” the blond shouts at him. “You can’t touch me.”
I stumble back as Dr. Banks’s arm brushes against mine.
He steps right into the blond, his chest bumping the young man’s. The two are eye-to-eye, and for the first time, I realizejusthow big Dr. Banks really is.
He could take him out.
And obviously, that must register in my bully’s mind, too, because his face loses some color and he backs away, spinning around, and taking off down the hallway like a true coward.
“Aiden,” another voice calls. “A word in my office.Now.”
I turn to Dr. Lewis standing at the end of the hallway, his face difficult to read in the moment.
My heart leaps with fear as Dr. Banks’s expression falls. “Those boys were harassing me.” I step up in his defense.
Dr. Lewis’s eyes jump to mine. “I saw the incident. Please be on your way.”
“But—”
“Go,” Dr. Banks snaps at me, his eyes burning into mine as I look up at him.
I search his face for any reason to stay and fight on his behalf, but his expression is stone cold. “Okay.” I drop my head.
“I promise you; I will take care of them on your behalf,” Dr. Lewis says to me as my feet begin to move away from the two of them. “They won’t get away with the harassment and turmoil they caused you.”
“Thank you.” I’m pretty sure no one hears me as I make my way down the same hallway that the guys fled down.
I slip out of the nearest exit, the cold evening air sending a chill down my spine. Part of me expects them to be lurking somewhere in the shadows, but as I reach my car, there’s no one around.
I hope he’s not in trouble.
