And I still have another shift to go.
My shoulders sag as I dump a capful of lavender bubble bath under the running water. I can’t afford the luxuries that a lot of people can, but I do spoil myself with the occasional purchase of bubble bath.
I step into the warm water, sliding down into the deep tub.
Finally. A moment for myself.
They’re fleeting, which makes it all the sweeter as I sink down, the water covering my body in its entirety.
I close my eyes, breathing steadily and deeply.
My heart rate slows, my muscles relax after a tense day.
And then my mind starts to wander.
“Ms. Everett.”Dr. Banks’s voice in my ear sounds as if he’s right there again, his hand on my shoulder.
My core ignites at the rasp in his tone, my brain able to recall it so realistically.
I run my tongue along my bottom lip, tempted to explore the feelings building between my legs. There’s never been a man between them. Only my hand.
I don’t have time to go out, let alone be with someone long enough to get intimate.
However, that doesn’t stop me from fantasizing. And lately, the only man I can think about is Dr. Banks.
I swallow hard as my fingers run along my skin beneath the water, skimming my stomach as they make their way to my clit, pulsing with the need to be stimulated.
I sink a little lower as my legs spread slightly.
The bathroom door is locked, but I still feel the need to hide beneath the bubbles.
“Ms. Everett.”Dr. Banks’s deep voice fills my head once again. However, this time, my hand is moving, stroking myself as I picture his body looming above mine.
He gently reaches for the button of my pants, undoing them...
“Melody!” a scream breaks my thoughts before they’re even getting started. “Melody!” The anguish of my brother’s cry has me falling over myself to get out of the tub, nearly slipping again once my feet hit the tile.
“I’m coming!” I grab a towel and wrap it around myself before yanking the door open and sprinting down the hall.
“It hurts so bad,” Dorian cries from the living room floors, his arms wrapped around his sides. He looks up at me, tears spilling down his cheeks.
His body trembles.
I start turning around to run and get his meds when he falls silent and crumbles in himself.
“Dorian!” I reach his side and fall onto my knees. I shake him but get no answer, No sound, no reaction.
Nothing.
Tears start flowing down my face, blurring my sight as I blindly look around.
Where the hell is my phone?
I need help.
