Next time? Ethan couldn’t keep his eyes open.
“Come on, sweetheart. Let’s go to bed. I’ll clean up in here tomorrow.”
Ethan hummed but made no move to get up. Joey chuckled again and picked him up, carrying him from the room, if the cooler air was any sign. He rested his head against Joey’s shoulder and allowed himself to float between sleep and awake. Cool fabric touched his skin, and he groaned, curling onto his side. From a distance, he felt something warm and wet wipe over his skin, but he fell asleep before he could inquire.
Sunlight streaming directly onto his face woke him, and he scrunched his nose and turned his head away.
“Good morning,” Joey said.
Ethan blinked one eye open, seeing Joey sitting on the bed in just trousers and nothing else. “What time is it?”
“Eight o’clock local time. You’ve been asleep for hours. I was starting to get worried, but you were still breathing.” Joey shrugged.
“You should’ve woken me.”
“I would’ve if you had still been asleep when I needed to leave.”
Ethan rolled to his back, a slight twinge from his tattoo, and rubbed his face with his hands. “We’ve got three hours.”
“We do, but I have something for you first. You need to have breakfast, and then you can have your surprise.”
“Surprise?” Ethan dragged himself upright. “You’re spoiling me.”
Joey leaned over and kissed him, uncaring of Ethan’s cotton mouth. “You deserve it.” He stood. “Go have a shower and get dressed. Come down to the kitchen when you’re ready.”
“Yes, Sir.”
Joey grinned, grabbed a T-shirt and left the room, closing the door behind him. Why, Ethan didn’t know. It wasn’t like anyone was there with them.
The shower was divine, Rocco having spared no expense at the amazing overhead spray that fell like torrential rain. Ethan’s ass smarted a little, but he didn’t mind one bit. He couldn’t remember a single time he’d managed to come three—or was it four times, one after the other? He’d never even realised it was possible. He dried himself, dressed in khaki shorts and a T-shirt and headed down the stairs to the kitchen. When he entered, he froze.
“Aren’t you going to come and say hi?” Christi said from her perch at the breakfast bar.
“He needs coffee,” Kole said from beside her.
Joey wandered over and handed him a mug, sliding his arm around his shoulders. “Surprise.”
Ethan glanced at him and almost burst into tears. He put the mug down, ignored his best friends and threw his arms around Joey’s neck, joining their lips in a kiss that would’ve heated the coldest of loins.
“Bloody hell. We gave you yesterday. Don’t make us give you another day, too,” Christi said. “We’ve come to explore, not watch you two snog all day.”
Ethan smiled, breaking the kiss. “Thank you.”
Joey grinned. “I thought it would be a nice break for them, and you would have someone to keep you company while I worked. It was the only flaw in Ani’s plan of booking me more clients this week.”
“You’re bloody amazing, Joey Reynolds.”
“I have my moments.” Joey pecked his lips. “Now, drink your coffee. Someone is wanting to see where the shops are.”
Ethan groaned. “I hope you’ve cut up your credit cards, Christi. I don’t even want to hazard a guess at how much you would likely spend here.”
“Hey! I can budget.” Ethan raised his eyebrows at her as he drank. “Okay, I cantryto budget.”
Ethan chuckled and glanced at Kole. “We might just have to save her from herself.”
Kole nodded solemnly. “We might.”
Ethan turned to Joey when he handed him a plate of scrambled eggs. “Is Ani or anyone joining us this week?”
