I couldn’t stop. My heart pounded so hard that my face heated. Drowning in his heady scent, I felt my wolf pushing against my skin. Bear grunted, his fingers clawing down my back.
The friction was more than I could take. My wolf knew that mounting a male and riding him wasn’t natural, and maybe that’s why it felt so naughty.
Bear’s wolf stared back at me. That was the instant I felt my orgasm spinning out of control.
“Baby, I’m there,” I whimpered.
His mouth was on my nipple, sucking hard. Then he took the other while guiding my hips with his hands. I made a plaintive sound before my whimpers turned into a cry.
My orgasm crashed through me in thundering waves.
“Don’t stop,” he urged, rocking me with his iron grip. “Keep going.”
As I obeyed his command, my muscles spasmed until I could no longer move.
Bear shot up with me in his arms and pushed my back to the wall. “Hang on to my neck,” he growled while thrusting at a frenzied pace.
My legs hung like a rag doll as he supported my full weight by holding my thighs.
It was erotic to be looking down at this beast of a man.
My beast.
His wild pounding as our bodies slapped together had me spinning out of control.
“I like it when you tell me what you want,” he said.
Air trapped in my lungs, a strangled moan finally escaped my lips. “Baby, I’m gonna come again. Oh, baby…”
Something flickered in his gaze. Not just wild lust but adoration. Reverence.
My eyes slammed shut, and his thrusts quickened until he came to a dead stop and shouted. Bear dropped his forehead against the crook of my neck, his skin deliciously slick as he panted.
“Wow,” I breathed. “I think that was the best sex I’ve ever had.”
Bear shook with laughter. “That’s the only sex you remember.”
I tilted his head up so he was looking at me. “That’s the only sex I want to remember.”
He lowered my legs to the floor and locked eyes with me. “You mean it?”
I wrapped my arms around his middle, my cheek to his chest. “I only know how I feel, and everything tells me you’re mine.”
Bear dropped to his knees. “I will worship you.”
My spirit wolf knew without a doubt that Bear could be my protector and make me happy. Whether that translated to love remained to be seen, but for now, a private declaration of devotion was enough.
Bear used his bath towel to clean us up. After putting his pajama bottoms back on, he found my nighty and dressed me. Then he folded me into a warm embrace and kissed the top of my head. We stood that way for a minute before crawling under the sheets.
Instead of going to sleep, Bear turned on his side and faced me. Touch meant a great deal to him, and it made me want to reciprocate. He gave a relaxed smile when my fingers traced his collarbone.
But that smile withered when I reached behind him and let my fingers graze the uneven scars on his back.
“What happened?” I dared to ask. “Who did this to you?”
He moved my hand away, then kissed my knuckles. “If I tell you about my past, you won’t look at me like that anymore.”
I cupped his neck and leaned in until our noses touched. “There’s nothing that’ll change the way I see you. Nothing.”
