“Chloe. Cali and Scarlet were telling us about her.”
Kieran gawks at her. “You talk to Cali and Scarlet?”
Ava bobs her head. “Yep. We’re all in one giant group chat. Ever since the night our Daddies went to help you and they came over, we’ve kept in touch.”
Warmth spreads through me. I swear, these Little girls are gifts from God. They’re the light to all our darkness.
“Chloe’s at work. Maybe I’ll bring her next time.”
Ava shrugs and goes back to the living room where some animated movie is playing.
“So, what brings you guys over?” Colt asks when we’re standing around the kitchen island.
I pull out my phone. “Get the surveillance of the coffee shop on my phone, so I can see it whenever I want.”
Colt raises an eyebrow and smirks. “Have you ever heard of the word please?”
Shaking my head, I roll my eyes. “Please.”
“Having my men keep tabs on the shop isn’t enough for you?”
I scowl. “She’s my girl. Get it on my damn phone.”
“And here I thought Declan was the stalker of the family. Taking it to the next level. Cool. Does she know you’ve had the cameras at her work tapped into?” Colt asks.
Ava clears her throat, and when we all turn to look at her, she narrows her eyes at Colt.
“Daddy, I don’t think you have any room to talk about his stalking habits.”
I laugh and arch an eyebrow at Colt. “Sounds like you have some stalking experience of your own.”
Colt glares at his wife. “Your bottom is going to pay for that.”
She throws her hands on her hips. “I was only speaking the truth, Daddy. Lying is against the rules.”
Kieran and I burst out laughing while Colt mumbles something under his breath.
Ava skips back to the couch, and I smile smugly. “So, how about getting my phone set up?”
Colt turns to Kieran. “She’s your sister, and you’re okay with this?”
Kieran shrugs. “He’s doing what he needs to do to take care of his girl. I’d do the same thing if it were my girl.”
Finally, Colt takes my phone and starts tapping away at the screen, though the corner of his mouth is pulled back into a half-smile. He handles all of our hacking and security needs and owns several tech firms in the city.
When he’s finished, he hands it back. As soon as I get to the camera feed and see my girl working away making a drink, I let out a long breath. My cock aches for her. Just like it’s been aching every second of the day since the night I saw her at the bar with that weasel. I hate that she’s not here with me physically, but being able to watch her and make sure she’s safe is enough for now.
“Is that all you came here for?” Colt asks.
I set my phone down, irritated that I can’t keep watching my girl. “Actually, we need something else. Can you hack into the city council’s files and see who signed off on the use of a port terminal recently? I have an estimated date it would have happened.”
Colt nods and motions for us to follow him. “We’ll be in my office, baby girl. Come find me if you need anything.”
Ava glances up and grins. “Okay, Daddy. Love you!”
“How’s it going, Bradley? I hope the accommodations are up to your standards.” I smile at the man handcuffed to the chair. Bright lights shine down on him, the only heat in the massive space.
Blood oozes from his split lip and a deep slice to his cheek. Dark circles brace his eyes. He hasn’t slept much—if at all—but I don’t give a fuck.
