Page 50 of Useless Love

Daddy? Somehow, that doesn’t get a rise from my dick. Her touching my thigh also doesn’t cause anything to stir. Maybe I’m just so shocked that my sweet, innocent Arianna would use the term “Daddy.”

“Deal,” I reply, narrowing my eyes at her.

“Great, um, you two have that settled,” Victoria cuts in with a shaky voice.

The server comes with their food and the two women start eating. Victoria draws me into conversation while Arianna nods, never looking at me.She also doesn’t smile. The same girl who normally smiles like it is a requirement hasn’t given me one this entire time

When I notice Victoria’s plate is empty, I ask, “Victoria, do me a favor. I want to speak to Arianna alone for a bit. Can you give us some privacy?”

She opens her mouth, looking ready to protest, but Arianna holds up a hand and nods.

With that, Victoria replies, “Sure, um, I’ll run to the restroom.”

Once she’s gone, I turn to my princess and ask, “Everything okay?”

She places her hand on my thigh, close to my dick. “Of course.”

Ignoring the hand, I ask, “Why haven’t you wanted to meet these past two weeks? Are you avoiding me?”

With a seductive grin, she wraps an arm around my shoulder. “Why would you ask such a crazy question? I’ve missed you.”

I can’t recall her ever touching me so much without me initiating.

“Crazy, huh? Then what would you call it? I’ve asked you out on dates and you’ve ignored me.”

She looks shy suddenly, but there’s an edge to it, like she’s playing a game with me. She sticks out her bottom lip. “F-F-Family matters have distracted me. I’m sorry. But I’m so excited to marry you and leave my awful penthouse.”

Why are you happy to leave your family all of a sudden?

“Are things bad at the penthouse lately? What’s going on?”

Her shyness fades and she looks irritated. “You know how my Father is.”

“I don’t. You always talk kindly about him.”

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

She reaches into her purse for her noisy phone. When she does, I notice a fucking Beretta 3032 Tomcat pistol tucked inside next to her makeup.

My princess doesn’t carry a gun.

“Ok, Mother, I’ll be right there,” Arianna says. Turning to me, she asks. “Can we talk about this later? I have another family thing. So sorry.”

“Go ahead, I’ll call you later. What are you doing for the rest of today?”

“Nothing much. Might just binge-watch some reality TV and hang around.”

“What? No visit to Saint Mary’s or studying?”

Noticing my confusion, she frowns. “Don’t you think I’m entitled to a day off every now and then?”

Before I can answer, Arianna reaches for my thigh and leans in close. “By the way, that’s a nice cologne. What’s it called?”

Something dark stirs in my gut because Arianna and I had this cologne conversation last time we met. Either she’s having memory problems or something is wrong here. “I can’t remember,” I say blankly.

I move out of the booth so she can leave. When Arianna surprises me with a kiss—if you can call it that—I’m speechless. The lips I’ve kissed so many times are suddenly aggressive, bold, and sloppy. She pulls back with a smile and waves at me. She meets Victoria at the door and the two of them leave.

What the fuck was that?
