“What the fuck was that?” I demanded, angrily slapping my hands on my hips. Mostly to hide the fact that my fingers were trembling. My entire body felt like it was buzzing. I had an ache deep in my core that I could never seem to satisfy myself, and now, it was pulsing, wanting more, more, more of what these two men had been so ready to offer.
My head was throbbing, but not nearly as badly as it should have been after the way I’d chugged so much of Kara’s heartbreak potion. Maybe being pissed at my stepbrothers was a good hangover cure.
Reeve sat up, and I tried not to ogle his bare chest. Neither one of them was wearing a shirt. My blanket was still up to Reeve’s waist, but I’d pulled the covers off Wilder when I’d jumped from the bed. He was only in a pair of gray boxer briefs, which did nothing to hide how thick his cock was. Or how turned on sucking my arousal off Reeve’s fingers had made him.
“Princess.” Reeve’s tone was imploring, his dark eyes shadowed with something I wasn’t ready to decipher.
“No,” I seethed. “Do not ‘princess’ me in that deep, sweet voice. You two were just… And then you…” I muffled a scream behind clenched teeth before pointing an accusing finger at him. “You’re getting married next weekend to someone I haven’t even met.”
“Baby…” Wilder’s soothing voice tried to intervene.
“Shut up!” I snapped at him, forcing my eyes not to dip lower than his shoulders. “I’m angry with you as well, mister. You two are best friends. There is no way you didn’t know about his girlfriend—or the wedding. But you didn’t say one word to me!”
“Marina—”
“What changed?” I whispered, wrapping my arms around myself as the hurt became too much. “Did I do something wrong? A-are we not going to be a family now? Will you…leave me behind?”
A strangled groan came from Reeve as he jerked to his feet. He was in front of me before I could even take a moment to absorb he was only in boxer briefs like Wilder.
Cupping my face, he gently tipped my head back until our gazes clashed. “I will never leave you, Marina. Fucking never.”
“But you’re getting married.”
“To you!” He quickly glanced over his shoulder at Wilder before shifting his eyes back to me. “And Wilder. The three of us, together. Forever. Don’t you want that, princess?”
“So much,” I breathed, but I shook my head, knowing it was just a fantasy. I couldn’t actually have those things. “But that’s not possible.”
“What have we always told you?” He lowered his head until he was nuzzling his nose against mine. “Tell me what we promised you, sweetheart.”
“That we will always be together. We’re family.”
“That’s right.” He kissed the corner of my mouth. “And we will be. We will be your husbands, and you will be our wife. Our anchor. Our everything.”
“H-how is that possible?” Hope quivered in my voice, my heart thrashing in my chest. They had never lied to me before. If they said something, I trusted it to be true. But this was too good to believe. “I mean, both of you? And that wedding invitation. It said—”
“We know what it said,” Wilder grumbled, cutting me off. “They got your name wrong, baby. And left me off entirely.”
“I’ll make a call,” Reeve assured him. “Opal will explain to us what happened, and then we will get it rectified. But first, I want to know who sent Marina the gift-wrapped invitation to begin with.”
I was still struggling to believe any of this was real that I hadn’t had a moment to think about why I’d gotten such a present to begin with.
“I’ll talk to Mack about it. No way anything would have gotten past the front door without him knowing who it was from,” Wilder said as he walked over to us. “As for the invitations going out, Reeve, your getting married would have been too big of a gossip topic to remain quiet. There hasn’t been any news regarding it. There was nothing on Page Six yesterday. Nothing in the business section or anywhere else. Which tells me the invitation Marina received wasn’t sent to anyone else.”
“We’re going to be together?” I whispered in awe, not paying attention to anything else they said. “All three of us?”
Reeve snaked an arm around my waist while Wilder wrapped himself around us both. “Yeah, baby. You’re ours. Always have been.”
Happy tears blurred my vision. “I never thought this would be possible. I’ve wanted you both for so long. But I didn’t think either of you could want me the same way. Definitely not the way I want you.”
Wilder smirked, his dimples popping playfully. “How do you want us, sweet girl?”
Heat filled my cheeks, but they were so close I couldn’t look away. Reeve’s hand on my waist dropped to my ass, pressing me closer to them both. “Tell us, princess.”
“I…I want you to share me,” I admitted. “And I want to share you with each other. I want all three of us to…”
“Fuck?” Reeve supplied when I trailed off.
My core clenched and I nodded, fighting a moan. “Yes.”
