She pouts again, and this role play is a lot more fun than I would have thought. It’s her need for spanking and my need for praise, together. “I’ll tell you what. If you’re a good girl, Daddy will come in your mouth.”

“I can be a good girl,” she promises.

I begin to speed up my strokes because I’d do anything for my good girl. And as I start to come, I release in her mouth, and like the good girl she is, she swallows it all.

SANDRA

My back is turned toward my office door and I’m on the phone with our marketing team about the campaign we’re launching in two months. The Bone Collectorhas hit our alpha and beta players, and Reggie, the group genius with graphics and software, has fixed all the bugs. It’s set to release before Christmas and is predicted to bethebig holiday craze everyone fights tooth and toenail to snag.

The boys have named this game everything fromSarah Allen the Bone HuntertoDead with Bonesand several things in between. Sarah was too close to another popular game. But the back story is an archaeologist has to work through a series of events to get to the end. The bone collector comes for her if she doesn’t complete the tasks—which means she dies. I play the games enough to get an understanding, but sales aren’t my area of expertise. Keeping these boneheads out of trouble is.

I end the call, happy with the progress on commercials and other advertising strategies we’re leaning toward, when a knock at the door garners my attention and I turn around in my chair.

“Sandra, you have a second?” Matthias asks, walking through the door. He’s holding hands with a young man—much younger than Matthias—and I always thought Matthias was a baby at twenty-eight. Although Dom is only two years older than him.

“Sandra, I’d like you to meet Nate Williams. Nate, this is Sandra, the one person who doesn’t put up with our shit and keeps us out of trouble.”

I push to my feet, watching his reaction. I want Matthias to be happy. He deserves it. But with his success comes vultures. And with controlling interest, anyone can play on his vulnerabilities and use him, not simply to hurt him, which I’d not put up with either, but hurt the company and everyone’s hard work, like Trace Hollerman almost had.

“Nate, it’s so good to meet you. I’ve worked with Matthias and the rest of them since the beginning. But, I have to say, he’s been an easier boss to work for in the past couple of weeks, and I have you to thank for that.”

A blush creeps up on his face, and he coils into Matthias’s side. “Thanks.” Matthias brings Nate closer to him. “He makes me rather happy too. It was nice meeting you, Sandra.”

They leave without much more than a goodbye, and I’m about to get back to work when someone catches my attention through the glass walls.

His dark chocolate eyes search the open offices, and when he finds me, his dimples pop on his face. Sexy as fuck dimples. Immediately he’s in my space.

“Well, I’m not complaining, but this is a nice surprise.”

He’s in a pair of jeans and a polo with his business name—Torano and Chambers’ Landscape Engineering—visible. He’s typically in coveralls, with dirt dusting his face, when he’s on a job site, but today he’s dressed for a day in the office. We’ve been two ships passing in the night and have barely seen each other for the last two weeks.

“I had to do some of that dreaded office work today. Thought I’d surprise you, Rosso, and see if you’re up for a lunch date.”

His hands touch mine, and the little tug of my body toward his has me leaning into his solid frame. He dips his head down to kiss me on the lips, and it’s not a peck. He pulls away before it can become heated, but looking behind him, I realize it’s too late. The other four partners, Caleb, Finn, Reggie, and Edwin, gape at me with smirks on their smug little faces.

“Get a room!”

“Way to go, Mom.”

“You better not hurt her.”

“Oh,thisis why she’s been nicer.”

They’re shouting over each other and cheering, so now everyone who is working is now staring. I shoot them a dark look.

“I take it we’ve gotten the attention of the office?” he asks, not looking behind him.

“Yeah, they’re a bunch of overgrown toddlers I have to mother, and believe me I don’t get paid enough for all their shit.” I aim my attention to them. “Get back to work, you little jerks!”

I guess the cat’s out of the bag.

Our weekly staffmeeting is a few hours after Dom unexpectedly surprises me. Caleb and Reggie are the first to see me as I walk in, taking my seat at the end of the table.

“Sandra has a boyfriend, Sandra has a boyfriend,” Caleb singsongs.

“Sandra and her boytoy, sitting in a tree. K-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love—”
