He pulls me back and we tumble into the seat, him still spearing me as I sit on his lap and he releases another explosion inside me.
“Fuck, Ruby.” His voice is rough in my ear.
Finally, our bodies slow and we sit, dazed, as Levi and Asher finish their set.
“That was completely out of control,” I finally say, the realization of what we just did dawning on me.
He kisses my neck.
“Even for me.” He agrees. “You bring it out in me my little perfect slut.”
CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
Ruby
Levi pulls me under his arm as we head out the door of the club. My stomach flutters at the affection.
“Ruby Rivers,” he whispers excitedly. “Were you trying to give me a boner on stage?”
“Sorry,” I look up at him guiltily. He pushes his hair back and shakes his head at me, but a grin is plastered on his face.
“Don’t be sorry. It was fucking hot.” He says, squeezing my shoulder
What is this thing we have going on between us? It’s so wild. Yet, the sheer craziness of it calms something in me. Because every time I think that I won’t be able to look them in the eye again, out of shame or embarrassment, they only double down on their support of me. And I’m doing things that make me feel good. Really damn good. It’s a heady mix of pleasure and acceptance that makes me excited for life in a way that I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced before.
We step out into the chilly night and Levi pulls me tighter against him.
There’s a crowd of people outside the club smoking and chatting and they all pay close attention to Levi, Dean, and Asher. Some curious glances look my way, but no one brings their cameras out to take pictures. It doesn’t have that kind of vibe here. Instead, some people nod and others smile at them.
We’re about to get in their car when a storefront catches my eye. It’s almost 1 AM, but this place is brightly lit. I read the sign.
MAE’S TATTOOS & PIERCINGS
Immediately, a thought comes to my mind.
“Are we in a rush?” I ask the guys just before they open the door to their car.
“Only if you are,” Asher says with a curious expression on his face.
“Uh, there’s something I want to do. If you don’t mind waiting.” I back up towards the shop.
“You already ready to get our names tattooed above your heart?” Dean grins.
“No,” I roll my eyes at him. “But you can get mine if you want while you wait.”
I turn my back to them and hurry into the shop before I can change my mind.
A young woman with sleeve tattoos up both arms and bleached white hair greets me.
“Is it possible to get a piercing?” I ask her, suddenly unsure if I’m supposed to have an appointment.
“No problem. As long as you haven’t been drinking?” She eyes me up and down.
After my recent habit of picking up a drink whenever I’m stressed, I’ve decided to take it easy with the alcohol. I had one drink at the gala and one drink at the club.
“I’m sober.” I nod. I hear the door open behind me and three sets of footsteps settle behind me. I don’t need to look behind me to know who it is. I can tell by the way the woman’s eyes grow big.
“Great.” She says, trying to keep her cool. “And what can we do for you tonight?”
