“I know.”
She closed her eyes and fought back a moan. His cockiness was hot, and it just added to her desire. Still, her pride demanded that she had to at least pretend not to give in so easily.
“You’re not sexy as you think you are.”
Liam ran a finger down her slit.
“I’m not?”
Utah knew she was getting wet but kept up with the charade.
“No.”
He pressed a finger inside and slowly fucked her while he circled her clit with his thumb. The sound of her arousal echoed off the walls and a small whimper escaped her lips.
“Are you sure?”
“P—pos—positive.”
He moved his bottom jaw and stuck his tongue between his molars. “Huh,” almost like he really believed her. They both knew it was just a ruse.
Adding a second finger, he asked, “So, should I stop?”
“Don’t you dare!”
His chuckle was smug, but he didn’t stop. Not until he felt her shatter with another orgasm.
“Oh my god,” she said while staring up at the ceiling with her hand on her stomach as she gasped for air. “I didn’t think it was possible to have two orgasms in one night, let alone three!”
He clicked the lamp on the bedside table off, then rolled on top of her.
“Oh, baby. We’re not stopping at three.”
Chapter Seven
Liam
After they’d both come once more, Utah had barely been able to keep her eyes open. He’d felt like a stud, having fucked her so thoroughly—as she’d requested—that he knocked her out.
But Liam was no spring chicken, and he found he was just as exhausted.
He fell asleep just before midnight with nothing but a smile on his face and a naked, beautiful woman snuggled into his side, her breathing deep and even.
Despite going to bed later than normal, he still woke up at five a.m. like he always did. But instead of getting up the minute he opened his eyes, he lie in bed, relishing how nice it felt to have Utah next to him.
He realized he wanted more mornings just like this. And more nights like the one they’d just had.
Would she be on board?
He was fairly certain she’d been grandstanding last night when she quipped about maybe wanting this to only be a one-night stand. Their connection had been too real to deny it.
But what if she changed her mind once she woke up?
Things always looked different in the light of day. He knew that from personal experience all too well. He’d woken up too many times next to a woman he had no interest in seeing again, even though the night before she’d seemed great.
Funny thing was, as he looked down at Utah with the dawn light peeking through his blinds, he only wanted her more. He hoped like hell she felt the same.
Although, he had his doubts. The kid thing seemed to be a dealbreaker.
