Our conversation gets interrupted by the waitress. “Hey ladies, what can I getcha?” I look at Cal and Hallon and they are already giving me a knowing look.
“We’ll have three shots of Jose with lime and a margarita pitcher, please.” Caleigh answers for us. The waiter jots down our order and walks off.
Caleigh
Over the last few hours we have talked, drank, danced, drank some more and shared multiple appetizers. Elise is currently running her fingers up and down the inside of my thigh.
I slap my hand over hers and whisper in her ear “Quit doing that before I bend you over this table in front of everyone.”
She giggles and kisses my cheek. “Yes ma’am.” She says and scrunches her nose, smiling.
I look over and see Nick walking towards us and I squeeze El’s hand. She looks at me and I dip my head in the direction he's coming from. She rolls her eyes and jumps up in my lap. I smile as he approaches.
I wrap my arms around her waist. “What do you want, Nick?” He looks between Elise and I; she has her arm draped over my shoulder, playing with my hair.
“Oh, so you were serious about this.” Pointing his finger back and forth like he is disgusted.
“Yep, they're dating now.” Hallon speaks up, popping the P. I look over at her and we smile at each other.
“Yeah, maybe for now.” Nick smirks and looks at Elise, “When you decide you want a dick, you have my number. This isn’t going to last forever.”
I hold my breath for a few seconds, nervous because I am not sure how Elise is going to react. “Actually, it will last forever. That is if Elise says yes.” I look at her and she seems confused. “I was going to wait and do this at a better time, maybe a more romantic setting than a bar.” I hear Hallon squeal across from me as I pat El’s leg to stand up with me. I face her, and slowly get down on one knee. She slaps a hand over her mouth.
Nick groans, “You have got to be kidding me.”
I ignore him and continue, “Elise, I cannot picture spending the rest of my life with anyone but you. I love you so much and I promise to never take you for granted. Will you make me the happiest woman in the world and marry me?”
Tears are now falling down her cheeks as she nods her head vigorously and says “Yes!” The whole bar cheers as I realize the music isn’t playing anymore. She helps me up and wraps her arms around my neck. “Yes, a million times yes. I love you so much.” She pulls me in for a kiss, I tip her back and everyone cheers again.
We straighten up and look over and Nick has vanished. “As soon as she said yes, he stormed off.” Hallon pops up next to us. “Come here guys.” she pulls us in for a group hug. “Congratulations. I am so happy for you guys! Let's do celebratory shots!”
I look over at Elise and say “I am sorry I don’t have your ring, it's at the house.”
She giggles, “It’s okay you can give it to me when we get home.”
I sit back in my chair. El climbs in my lap and kisses my cheek. “Let's do one more shot then we can go home.”
I smile at her and say, “Okay, just one more shot.”

One Year Later
It's our wedding day and it has been a year since Caleigh asked me to marry her. I still pinch myself sometimes to make sure that I'm not dreaming. I look over at her and she is focused on Hallon finishing up her Maid of Honor speech.
“I am so grateful to have you two as friends, and I wish you all the happiness in the world.” Hallon lifts her glass and everyone claps.
Our event planner steps up to the microphone next. “Thank you everyone for joining us to celebrate Caleigh and Elise. It's now time to eat, so make your way over to the buffet.” Everyone gets up and starts making their way to get a plate.
We didn’t want a huge wedding so we decided on a small local venue. The ceremony took place outside with string lights draped around the large winding arms of centuries old oak trees. Everyone sat on long wooden benches on either side of the aisles. Caleigh is obsessed with flowers, so we went with blue delphiniums, quicksand roses, peach stock, light pink astilbe and peach hypericum berry.
We both decided to wear different white gowns, but we didn’t know what each other picked out until today. Caleigh looks stunning in her floor length dress. It has laced sleeves and a V-shaped neckline. It is also form fitting, so it shows off all of her curves. I went with a simple long silk dress, with tiny straps and a curved neck line.
I'm pulled out of my thoughts by Caleigh rubbing my arm. “Look, that must be Hallon’s man that just walked in.” I look over in the direction she's pointing to and there is a tall man hugging Hallon. “You know, he kind of looks like Cam Gigandet in the face from here.”
I squint my eyes ``Yeah, he does look similar. We should go introduce ourselves, then sneak away for a few minutes before we have to cut the cake and dance.”
She wiggles her eyebrows at me and I laugh. “Okay, let's make this fast.”
