Page 26 of Snow Drift

There are a ton of plans and decisions to make, between selecting a house, buying an engagement ring, and beginning our lives together.

But first, we need to start by polishing off some perfect lemon meringue pie while watching the snow blow outside, as Kallie gets to know my best friends.

KALLIE

* Three Years Later *

Strolling through the gorgeous back garden, I still can't believe that I live here. Can't believe that Moore did all of this in just three growing seasons.

The August sunshine warms my shoulders as I walk back toward the house, admiring the purple coneflower, the old-fashioned tea roses, and the clusters of chrysanthemums.

Everything is blooming. And so am I.

I hear Moore's truck pull up in front of the house. Then he comes inside. "Where's my gorgeous wife?" his big voice booms from the hallway.

"Out in the garden!" I call through the back screen door.

In seconds, he's spinning me around on the lush grass. "How was your day?" I ask.

"Amazing. The Adlers confirmed their job, and the Fillmores want us to do their daughter's back yard as well."

"That's fantastic."

"And how wasyourday?" He sets me on my feet, his arms always around me at every available moment. "You weren't working today, were you?"

"No."

When I first moved to Oakton, I was the main cleaner at Lift & Grind gym for two years. Moore was right – once I got to know all of the bodybuilders and beefy guys who worked there, it was like having an entire squad of older brothers. I've never needed them to protect me from a creep, but whenever I need something from a high shelf at the grocery store, or need help with something heavy at the hardware store, one of the gym guys will magically appear out of nowhere to help me.

My phobia of being stalked or watched is pretty much completely gone. Six months of therapy did wonders. And recently I dropped down to working three days a week so that I have more time to cook and keep the house nice. Moore is doing so well that we have the money, and it allows me to help out by running more errands for him.

Except when I have important errands of my own.

"I went to the doctor today, actually."

Moore's smile drops. "You mean your therapist? Is everything okay there?"

"I mean my regular doctor."

I pull out my phone and show him a grainy photo that's one of the most incredible shots I've seen in my life.

"Is that…" Moore points to the screen, his voice trembling. "That little…bean. Is it…"

"Yes indeed. I'm eight weeks along."

My air rushes out of me with a whoosh as Moore kisses me hard. I'm already in the air, tucking in my legs as he charges through the doorway and carries me to the bedroom.

He's been insatiable since day one. We both have. But as he tears my clothes off, there's something almost savage about his energy today.

"So hot." Moore stretches over me, naked and hard as steel as his thick, straining cock drops heavily onto my stomach. He grips it firmly, working it slowly up and down my wet slit. "My gorgeous wife is pregnant. Giving us a child. Damn, baby, I didn't think you could get any sexier but you just did."

"Let's see if you still think that when I'm big as a house and waddling around."

Just as he begins to sink inside me, he stops. "Especially once you start to show, I'm going to have to be so gentle with you, baby."

"I don't think so."
