“Maybe.”

“Oh good.” She paused, cocking her head. “Have you heard anything about your dad?”

“He was released on bail, no trial date yet.”

“Did you talk to your mother?”

“No, but my sister called to tell me how many ways I’ve ruined her life.”

“Didn’t she get money from your grandfather too?”

“Yeah, but she’s blown through most of it already. She’ll have to get a job now, which makes her unhappy.”

“Of course.” Lena made a face.

“I’m just glad Hank hired Raegan to be his assistant now that he’s handling the dismantling of the firm.”

“Paige said she’s loving San Francisco.”

“Hopefully we can keep her on when he and I take on a few projects of our own.”

“That would be good.” She’d just leaned in for a kiss when his phone rang.

Mick glanced down and gave her a quick kiss before lifting the phone to his ear. “Hey, Hank.”

“How soon can you be in Lucerne?”

“Switzerland?”

“Is there another Lucerne somewhere? Anyway, some clients of mine saw what you did in New Zealand and want to meet you. Can you go next week?”

“If I go, I bring the family. I’m not agreeing to anything unless Lena’s willing to live there.”

“Of course.” He paused. “So you’ll do it?”

“What’s the project?”

They talked architecture and construction for a few minutes before Mick hung up.

“So Switzerland?” Lena asking, her eyes twinkling.

“What do you think about that?”

“If you two are going to start your own business, you have to go somewhere, right?”

“I’m not taking any jobs unless you’re on board. Hank and I are considering each opportunity on an individual basis. He’s semi-retired and I’m easing into being a husband and father.”

“The time for us to move around is now,” she said. “We can travel the world while the kids are small.”

“Kids?” He arched a brow and she flushed.

“Well, we’re working on more, aren’t we?”

“We’ve been using protection.”

“But eventually we’ll stop… right?”

“I’m thinking the right answer to that question is… yes?”
