I wait a few seconds, but she doesn’t say anything else. I couldn’t be happier to go home. Seeing Cam and Lilly together has really thrown me. Thankfully I’ll be distracted tonight so I don’t have to think about it.

No such luck. I can’t stop thinking about seeing Cam with Lilly. And it doesn’t help when I get a text from him telling me he missed me today. As soon as I get home, I order the pizza and change into a pair of yoga pants.
I’m about to turn on the TV, when my phone starts ringing. Admittedly I’m hoping to see Cam’s number. I sigh when I see Mason’s number.
“Hey, Mason.”
“Promise me you won’t let Eliza talk you into telling her about Saturday,” he begs.
“Hello to you, too.”
“Sorry, I’m starting to freak out.”
“Starting to?” I tease.
“It’s not funny,” he snaps.
Wow. Mason is more on edge than I thought. He can usually take a joke.
“Sorry,” I say. “I swear I won’t say anything.”
“Even if she tries to use some tricky life coach methods.”
I giggle. “Yes, even if she tries those.”
He exhales.
“Stop worrying. It will go seamlessly.”
“I’m being so stupid,” he exclaims. “We’ve talked about getting married so many times. This won’t be a shock. Why am I overreacting?”
“Because it’s about to get real,” I remind him. “Talking about it and actually proposing are two different things.”
“She’ll say yes, right?”
I laugh. “What? Of course she’ll say yes. What are you even saying?”
“I don’t know,” he moans. “Maybe she’ll have second thoughts.”
“That’s not happening. Relax.”
“It’s not. I know,” he says. “Thanks for reminding me I’m being ridiculous.”
“I didn’t say that.”
“But you were thinking it.”
“I’ll never tell.”
“Okay, I feel better,” he says. “You good? Did you finally invite the coach to the party?”
The mention of Cam makes my heart sink.
“Not yet.”
“Really, why?”
