Tyson had even waved me off.

“You’re not married, Solana,” Gianni insisted, causing me to laugh.

“Yeah, I am. Does Hailo’s New Year’s Eve trip ring a bell?” Mack’s sideways glance made my shoulders shudder. He was pissed off, realizing that Sky had covered for me. “I was with Quest. We decided to bring in the new year with a bang and got married.”

That wasn’t exactly what happened, but they didn’t deserve the details of our trip. All they needed to know was this was real and I wasn’t playing games.

“Next, you’re going to tell us you’re pregnant?” Tyson joked.

“Considering the amount of fuckin’ we’ve been doing, I wouldn’t rule it out,” I snarled.

My rebuttal was enough to break Mack’s silence, finally. “C’mon, Sol. Too fuckin’ much!”

“Put the fuckin’ gun down.” Tyson gritted.

“No!”

“How do you think this shit plays out, Sol?” Tyson asked.

“Ty,” Gianni warned, trying to reel him back.

“I’m just asking a question. You walk in here, throwing a little tantrum, demanding shit that you’re not qualified to ask for. I don’t give a fuck if you married that nigga or not.”

“You’re such a dick! No wonder Kyerra is so miserable.”

“What the fuck did you say?” The gun in my hands no longer mattered as Tyson charged toward me.

“Ty, chill, man,” Mack suggested.

“Everybody needs to calm the fuck down,” Gianni yelled.

“Like you calmed down when Hailo was missing! This is the same?—,”

Despite my attempt to assert control, I was so deep in my feelings that it only took a lightning-fast motion for Gianni to disarm me, shifting the balance of power.

“Don’t you ever put a gun in my face again!” Gi gritted, grabbing me up by my forearm.

“Ow! You’re hurting me!” I yelled, looking down at his fingers digging into my skin.

“You better be glad that’s all I’m doing. Have you lost your fuckin’ mind?”

“No, but I lost my heart and want it back. Where is Quest? I need to see him!” I cried, falling into Gianni’s chest.

He was hesitant to embrace me. I could feel his heart racing from my actions. Finally, he handed the gun to Mack and hugged me while I cried.

“Get her out of here,” Tyson ordered.

“I hate you!”

“Aye, calm down. He’s just worried about you.” Gi’s rationale caused me to laugh.

“He’s not worried about me!” I fussed, throwing my arm toward Tyson. “He just wants everybody to be as miserable as him! Quest loves me!”

“He’s using you, and you’re too naïve to see it!” Tyson insisted.

“Gianni.”

“Gianni,” Tyson mimicked in a way that made Mack laugh. “Running to him can’t save you. Take your ass home!”
