It’s as if he doesn’t want Olivia to notice him.

Strange, but I let it go.

I am surprised to see her here. Olivia Pratt seems like the kind of girl who only goes down after a long fight. That girl doesn’t chase a guy hard enough to show up at his house out of the blue.

My little stunt at the game was supposed to catch her attention. But I didn’t think she would make it this easy.

I’m almost disappointed.

“I always knew there was a wild thing hiding behind that good girl exterior. You’ll have to stay long enough at our next party to really show us what you got.” Nolan’s tone is teasing, but there is a note of challenge underneath.

Cole doesn’t miss a beat. “If she takes Havoc Delight like a pro, I really want to know what else will go down that easy.”

“Careful. You might be stepping on Drake’s toes.”

“Yeah, he never shares his toys, especially the sexy ones.”

Olivia watches the back and forth with a bored expression on her face.

Most girls would react to their slightly malicious teasing in one of two ways: either get offended and walk right back out or be so flattered by the attention that they practically simper for more abuse.

But her posture is relaxed, one blonde eyebrow ironically raised as she tilts her head to the side. “Poor boys wouldn’t know a real woman if she kicked them in the balls. Maybe one of these days you’ll figure out how to get a girl to suck your dick before she gets alcohol poisoning.”

Cole laughs, but Nolan’s eyes narrow.

Nolan takes a step forward, crowding into her personal space. Olivia doesn’t take even a single half-step backwards.

“What was that you said?”

She smiles. “You hard of hearing, or just slow?”

I swoop in before the situation gets completely out of hand. “What do you need, Olivia?”

For the first time, unease briefly crosses her face. It only lasts a second before the haughty expression returns.

“I thought you wanted to work on this project for Econ. It would probably be best just to get it over with.”

There are more than a few things I’d like to get over, but right here isn’t exactly the place for it.

“Follow me.”

I don’t wait to see if she follows me up the stairs. There is no way out of Havoc House, so her only other option is to stay downstairs with my friends. She has to know I’m the better option.

At least for now.

If she wants to stay down there and get worked over by Nolan and Cole, then I’m not going to stop her. I’m just not staying to watch it happen.

Cole lets out a whoop as footsteps pound on the stairs behind me.

“Make sure and show her who’s boss, Van Koch.”

Girls don’t come to Havoc House unless they want a very specific kind of good time. Word will spread quickly that Olivia is alone with me in my bedroom.

The assumption won’t be that we’re working on a project.

She has to know that.

You’d think a girl with her history would care more about her reputation, but I’ve stopped letting the idiosyncrasies of her personality surprise me. Whatever things someone could accuse Olivia Pratt of being, predictable sure as shit isn’t one of them.
