Everything should be good.

Then Olivia Pratt blew back onto campus with the destructive force of a hurricane.

When I look at her, it’s hard not to see the broken girl laying on the ground of that forest. Someone in Havoc House might have hurt her. Badly. And if they did, I won’t ever know who it was or why they did it.

I have to tell myself it doesn’t matter.

Except it does.

Olivia chose to come back. She could have transferred schools, or even fucked off to some spiritual retreat in Europe.

But she came back.

She had to know what it would mean when she did.

And that makes her fair game.
