My brow stitched together tightly. “And it’s… the three of you?”

Levi sat next to Dean. “I have to admit, it’s a bit unusual.”

I scoffed. “Yeah, you can say that again.”

Hudson stood at my side. “It’s not weird around here for a female wolf to have two fated mates.”

“Three is a bit unheard of, though,” Dean said mindlessly.

I couldn’t deny the pull toward them that I felt whenever I was in their presence, but husbands?

Destiny wanted me to take three fucking husbands?

“Jesus, that sounds like a lot of work,” I whispered.

Dean barked with laughter. “Trust me, you’re no walk in the park, either.”

I shot him a look before a grin ticked the edges of my lips. “Is this because of the magic or whatever the pack has? Does the magic pick fated mates?”

Levi shook his head. “No one really knows why or how it happens.”

“And not every shifter has a fated mate,” Hudson said.

“But I supposedly have three,” I said.

Dean nodded as he bent down and started wiping off my shins. “According to my vision, yes.”

I pinched the bridge of my nose. “Do you guys really care for me like that, though? Because that sounds a bit forced, if you ask me. Like the magic we have is manipulating us or something.”

“We?” Dean asked with a smirk on his face.

I rolled my eyes. “You know what I mean, good God.”

Hudson patted my shoulder. “Nice to see you’re finally realizing you’re one of us, too.”

I decided to leave his comment for later. “But seriously. Is this even consensual?”

Hudson groaned. “That’s not how fated mates work one bit. A fated mate is someone that a soul completely aligns with. A fated mate makes you a better person in every single way. It’s everything anyone could ever want in a partner.”

He made it sound so romantic, and yet something in my father’s letter suggested that there was something more to all this. “But the magic is doing this, right? Like, if you were to remove all of the shifter stuff and magic stuff, would there still be fated mates? Because let’s face it, I’ve only been here a couple of weeks. Can you guys really tell me that you’re in love with me like that?”

The three of them looked at one another, but none of them answered, and I didn’t like that.

“Seriously,” I said as my voice hardened. “Are any of you okay with this? With sharing me for the rest of your lives, knowing that my love will always be split between the three of you?”

Levi reached his hand out for mine. “The love you’d have for all of us isn’t split, or something lesser than ours.”

I tilted my head. “So, you guys are in love with me.”

“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” Hudson said with a scoff.

I tucked my hands in my lap and watched Levi quickly pull his back. “Are you guys okay with this? With this—this vision that Dean’s had?”

Levi shrugged. “I’m fine with it.”

Dean chuckled. “I consider it an honor, more than anything.”

But when Hudson didn’t respond, I slipped my gaze up to his.
