“Go on,” I said.
Raven’s voice grew pointed, as if she were poking at my chest with it. “I know there’s more you’re not telling me. All of you. I know you’re still keeping things from me. So, rip off the fucking band-aid and fill me in. Get everything out in the open. Now.”
I peeked down at Dean and watched his shoulders slump.
Oh, boy. Here we go.
“Yeah,” Raven said as she stared at the profile of my face, “I figured as much.”
“Is that a command from our Alpha?” Dean asked.
She turned her pointed stare to him. “You fucking know it is. So, stop making excuses.”
“You asked for it, Alpha,” Levi murmured.
Dean took the reins. “I’ve been having these visions lately.”
Raven tilted her head. “What kind of visions?”
Dean groaned as his head fell back. “Visions of Brody that I can’t quite explain.”
I stood silently, waiting for him to spill the rest of his beans. Because I had no fucking clue what the hell he was about to say.
Levi perked up. “Wait, what visions?”
I tilted my head. “Good question.”
Raven’s nose wrinkled. “You guys don’t even know?”
Dean clicked his tongue. “I was trying to wait until I could figure out what the hell is going on. With Levi’s issue with the cave and the attacks, I just wasn’t sure that what I was seeing was?—”
“Right?” I asked.
He peeked an eye open and looked up at me. “I’ve been having a vision of the bear shifters up in the mountains,” he said as his shoulders slumped. “And I see Brody with them every single time.”
My jaw hit the floor. “Well, at least I’m not the bad guy anymore.”
Levi leapt to his feet; his hands balled into fists at his side. “And you didn’t fucking think that was pertinent to tell us?”
Raven shook her head as she stood, her voice as cold as ice. “That’s why it feels so fucking weird to be around Brody. You should’ve told me, Dean. You should’ve opened your fucking mouth.”
She stepped over him, but not before she managed to knock his piping hot mug of coffee all over his leg. Dean hissed as he stood, quickly unbuckling his jeans before he slid them down his legs.
“Uh, no thanks,” Levi said as he turned his back.
But I reached out and caught Raven’s arm just before she stormed past me. “Your anger isn’t with him.”
She shoved my chest again, and for once I actually leaned back a bit. “My anger isn’t just with him. It’s with the three of you. All of you! Waltzing around here like you think you own shit. Like you can gatekeep my life and keep it away from me. You have no idea how badly you guys have fucked up. No fucking clue.”
She shoved me again, but to be honest, it tickled.
“Not gonna work,” I said as a chuckle fell from my lips.
She glared up at me. “Wanna see what a knee between the legs will do, then?”
“Enough!” Dean bellowed.
His voice barreled over all of our heads and stunned us in our tracks. He rarely raised his voice. In fact, I wasn’t sure I’d heard Dean speak like that since our younger years. But as he came up to my side, he took Raven’s hand and silently commanded her attention.
