“Have you and Josh been comparing notes?”

“Not yet, but I plan on it. He’s going to be a wealth of information about you. Now, Josh is going to be involved in all of this too, so he’ll go with you tomorrow to meet Sydney. Does that make it easier?”

“Definitely, and he’ll like it more than me.” She plopped back against the cushions. “I guess I have to go to all of those parties now, too.”

“It is a part of being us and we want a united front. After the facility is completed and a major success, you can skip them.”

“Mr. Hawthorne, Bobby is back with the car.”

“Thanks. Alright, let’s collect Josh and get you home. Just give him your address. I don’t know it.”

“My address, sure, I’ll let him know.”

“Kleine, why do I suspect something here?”

“Nothing. You said give him my address. I was thinking about something else.”

“Are you living at the seaquarium?”

“Yes, I am and I’m happy there. I spend almost all my time there anyways and, before you say it, Josh lives there too. We fixed up my granddad’s old apartment.”

“I can’t have you living there, it’s not licensed, most likely, for it.”

“Granddad stayed there.”

“That was a different time and the city wasn’t trying to run him off.”

“Well, we each gave up our apartments, so that’s where we will be.”

“We need a compromise. You have to listen to me about not living there, at least not right now. If you want to live there once we beat the city, then you can.”

“You’re right.” We stepped off the elevator to where Josh waited.

“Right about what?” he asked.

“He says we can’t live at the facility, at least not until the city leaves us alone.”

“Hmm, that’s unfortunate as we both turned in our keys already.”

“Not to worry. I’ll get you a condo to stay in but, for tonight, have Bobby take you there. Get your personal items, then have him bring you to the yacht.”

“You want me to live on the yacht, with you?”

“With me and Josh and my captain. We’d hardly be alone.”

“I’m not afraid of you, I’m wondering about how that looks to the press, et cetera.”

“Good point. Pack your stuff, we’ll figure it out at dinner.”

“You’ve become rather bossy.” She crossed her arms. “I’ll do what you say to save my legacy but, after that, you’re not my boss.”

“I’m not your boss now, merely pointing out things that are an issue.” I smiled. “I promise, I don’t want to be your boss.”

“We’ll see.” She stepped into the elevator with Josh and closed the doors.

Oh, she’s gonna be fun.
