Walking behind her, I couldn’t help the way my chest puffed out with pride that I had this woman walking in front of me.
And yeah, it may have puffed out even more when I saw the men looking her up and down, and then one look from my eyes, and they had a case of whiplash.
I chuckled.
She had just climbed in her Jeep and turned it over when I heard, “What the ever-loving hell?” At the sound of frustration in her tone, I turned back and looked at her.
She held this look in her eyes, that I’ve never seen before, and let me tell you something, I could see the fiery anger, blazing in her ultramarine-colored eyes, I asked, “Are you okay?”
And when she let out a little growl, it took everything I had not to chuckle, “Yeah, my freaking car won’t start.”
I nodded then said, “Pop the hood.”
Once it was up, I checked a few things, and had her turn the car over again, and asked, “Are your lights coming on?”
“Negative,” she sighed.
“Pretty sure, your battery is dead. You want to stay here while I run and get my truck and jumper cables, or do you wanna take a ride with me?” I didn’t bring attention to that it felt as though my heart was in my throat at the thought of having anyone on the back of my bike.
Much less her, feeling her arms wrapped tightly around my waist, feeling her soft body pressed into my hard body.
As I waited for her to answer, I started running triple-digit multiplication tables in my head to get my rock-hard cock to stand down.
However, after she nodded, locked her Jeep up, took my helmet I offered her, climbed on and the moment her small arms wrapped around my waist, cuddled closer to my back, and whispered in my ear, “Like this?” I gave up on the multiplication tables, my brain had short-circuited.
It took me five breaths to answer her, “Yeah, Baby girl. Just like that.”
Son of a bitch.
I needed somewhere that no one could see what I was about to do to her body.
Because the only person that was going to see the look on her face as I made her come, was going to be me.
And where the fuck had the Baby girl come into play?
Fuck me. But it sounded right.
Totally right.
Sadly, we didn’t have any time to waste not when dark clouds could be seen rolling in.
We were in my truck after I parked my bike in the garage and headed back to town in under five minutes.
But in that time, I committed the look on her face to my memory as she enjoyed the hell out of the ride, and it was as we were climbing in the truck that she asked, “So that was way too short of a ride. Anyway, I can talk you into taking me for a longer ride later?”
Before I could stop myself and tell her that it wasn’t a good idea, because she had already woven her web around me, and if I got any more tangled up in her, I wouldn’t be able to walk away… and she deserved better, I found myself saying, “Yeah, if you play your cards right.”
We were on our way back to the diner when Birdie shocked me by gasping, and then immediately, she said, “Oh my gosh, pull over.”
I didn’t hesitate to check behind me, and then pull over to the side of the road.
Before I even had the truck in park, she was undoing her seat belt, and flinging the door open.
The moment the truck came to a stop, she was out of it, and walking out to a field to the right.
I followed her, and a feather could have knocked me over when I saw her slowly walking to… a dog?
But as I got closer to them, taking the same cues from her, of going slow, I wasn’t sure that it was a dog.
