“Are you okay?” I asked them, still holding on for dear life.

“Yeah. We’re good,” Raid answered.

“What about everyone else? Anyone hurt?” I asked, pulling back to look at my guys in their faces. God, they were gorgeous.

“Got word that everyone is safe. The last SUV’ll be here in about three hours,” Raid told me, and Liam smiled.

“They’re gone, beautiful. Saw it ourselves. They’ll never hurt you again,” Liam told me.

Tears. Yes. Tears started falling from my eyes, and I buried my face in my guys necks, holding on tight.

Everyone was safe.

No one was hurt.

And the Hamiltons were officially gone.

Now my life with my guys could truly begin.

Two Weeks Later

“Ready?” I asked Liam who sat next to me.

“Fuck yeah,” He answered as I looked in the rearview mirror of the unmarked SUV at Ax, Deke, Jacks, Ryker, Micah and Nox.

On a nod, I asked, “You all?”

My brother cut his eyes up at me on a dramatic chuckle. “Of course.”

“Yeah. Let’s get this shit done and get this fucker out of Sumner for good,” Jacks replied.

The SUV behind us had my dad, Cruz, Rhys, Cooper, Uncle Breaker and Tug. While we’d love to have all the brothers there, we needed to keep Thompson at his house to contact Runnerband and get this shit on the move.

It took us another two weeks of searching after we got rid of those Hamilton assholes, and we had some help from Nightbot, who was fucking awesome, to find what we needed to shut down Thompson and Runnerband. Get them out of town and out of our lives.

The news had gotten out about the Hamiltons demise immediately after the crash. The bodies were so badly burnt, and no autopsies were done. With the wreckage so bad, it was ruled as an accident just as intended. All the bodies in the office building were cleaned up, and it was as if we were never there. The bugs … not much was said about those.

With all of this, Thompson had to know he was next in this clusterfuck of deceit.

It was out of the norm the way Ravage handled the Hamiltons. Normally, there was a lot more methods used to get information out of people. More blood. More violence. But for them, we didn’t want anything. Just to be dead, buried, and away from Nyx permanently. Cruz was right to switch up the strategy. And truth be told, I was happy it ended up with the helicopter crash.

We never wanted to draw attention to ourselves, but with the time frame we needed to do it fast and hard. It all worked out in the end.

Thompson, though … we had plans for him, wanting him to comply to our demands and get his guy Runnerband on board. Being strategic was the goal here.

We couldn’t exactly go straight after the governor. He had too many people around him watching his every move. Not to mention too much in the spotlight of the media. Including social media that tended to catch way too much shit they weren’t supposed to with cameras and drones everywhere. We found out he has a very feisty German Shepard who liked to bite. Therefore, Thompson would be the go between and do our dirty work whether he wanted to or not.

Every detail of the plan was set up and ready to go. Now, Thompson needed to comply or die. His choice. If he chose the latter, then we’d need to figure out our next steps. We already had a backup which was the Ravage way, but it would be more difficult because of his connections. And we all wanted this shit over and for Ravage to get off all their radar.

It all depended on how much he valued his life whether he would follow through or not.

With as much power as he held, he valued life a lot, and that was what we were banking on. Wouldn’t want him to give up his cushy place in the world. We wanted him to stay in the force, just under our thumb and far away from Sumner.

We parked in the woods behind Thompson’s where we did before when we broke into the house and stole his computer. A computer that Nightbot had cracked, leading us to carry out this mission.
