“Yeah. Didn’t know you were a thing,” Ax stated, almost accusing.

My eyes rolled. “What are we? Ten?”

Raid chuckled, and Ax’s eyes narrowed at me. Yeah, Ax was not impressed by me one bit.

“You should’ve said last night,” Ax demanded, his gaze not leaving me as if he wanted me to backdown or make me feel like I was a bad child. Fuck that. I was a grown ass woman.

I shook my head and pulled out of Raid’s arm, then crossed mine over my chest. “We’re not a‘thing’. We’re fucking. There’s a difference. No offense, but who I take to bed shouldn’t be anyone else’s business but mine.”

Raid’s smile left, and this heavy pulse came from him. “Woman, you know damn well that’s a fuckin’ lie. Cut the shit, or it’ll piss me off.”See, Nyx—stupid.

“Settle down, Cujo. No need to bark so loud. I’m here. So, let’s do this.” This time it was Ax who laughed, which surprised me considering I was sure he hated me.

“She calls you Cujo? Are you fuckin’ with me?” Ax asked.

Raid reached around me and put his arm over my shoulder, pulling me tight to him. I looked up, my brows pinching. “Seriously? Don’t be doin’ that macho man bullshit, Raid.”

Ax laughed harder.

Raid’s smirk grew.

Maybe I was in over my head here. Who was I kidding? I knew I was.

Two men. Since I thought Raid was sexy as fuck, having two of them… Lord save me from good looking men. Were they well-meaning? Hell if I even knew at this point.

“Are we gonna stand here all night?” As soon as I said the words, I paused. Maybe we should just stay in this spot and not go further into the clubhouse.

Hell, we should’ve just stayed in bed, blocked all the doors, and not ever went out. That idea was sounding better and better by the moment.

“And here I thought you were a quiet one,” Ax said, now with a smirk on his face. Did this man like me now? Did it matter? I really felt like running. Not that I would, but it sounded good.

“No, she’s not quiet at all,” Raid replied, making Ax laugh harder at his inuendo.

Lord save me with these two. They were way too much alike, and fucking hell it was like they could read each other’s minds. I’d heard about those types of things, but never experienced it firsthand.

“Hey.” Indie, Ax’s woman, came up to us, a wide smile on her face. It was a face of a very happy woman. Ax didn’t hesitate to pull her into him just like Raid had done to me and still held me in the moment.

What was this? Raid didn’t mean…

Raid let go of me just long enough to step forward, bend down, and kiss Indie on the cheek. Something inside of me twisted seeing him kiss another woman. Even though it was brief, and he came right back to me, a twinge of jealousy snaked across my skin. Maybe a bit more than a twinge.

But me? Jealous? Over a man? Shit, I was.

“Hey. I’m Indie.” She introduced herself with a small wave, then her brow pinched like she was thinking, and said, “You’re the dark chocolate latte with cream and apple streusel cake.”

My stomach growled thinking of how good Indie’s sweets were. Loved them. Didn’t go often, but this woman remembered me down to the detail of my latte. Had to admit that was nice. Maybe I’d put down a few roots here in Sumner. It really hadn’t hit me until this moment.

Or maybe she was like me and just knew the regulars.

“Nyx, and it’s delicious.”

Indie was a beautiful woman with dark hair and a slender face. She had this glow of happiness surrounding her which made her even more dynamic. The way that Ax looked at her while she laughed was a tender sight.

“Thanks,” she responded through her laughter.

“Come on. We need to do the Happy Birthday thing to our dad,” Raid said.

I jolted and looked up at Raid. “It’s your dad’s birthday?”
