I feel his finger slide farther back. I know what he about to do. I know, yet I’m still shocked when the tip of his finger breaches my ass. I grip his shoulders, my nails digging in, no doubt leaving marks.
“Nico,” I yell through the cabin.
The sensation puts me into overload. I’m a tangled web of sensation. My toes and fingers tingle. I brace for the release that will knock me over the edge. His fingers move in sync. In and out. In and out.
Finally, I can’t take it anymore. I clench my teeth, along with the rest of my body. Nico fucks me with his fingers through my orgasm.
I feel his fingers leave my body, but I’m too dazed to know what’s happening. I hear the click of Nico’s belt. It’s not until I feel him sinking inside of me that I open my eyes again.
He’s still fully clothed, having only removed his dick from inside his pants. The fabric of his pants rubs my sensitive underside.
“Scarlett.” My name sounds pained coming from his lips.
He takes hold of both my hands in one of his and holds them over my head. He thrust hard into me, forcing me farther up the sofa. I wrap my legs around his back as he continues to pound into me.
I know he’s getting close as his movements become shorter and faster. “Come with me.”
He reaches down and pinches my clit between his fingers. It’s like hitting a switch, I’m coming before I even knew I was ready to come again. Nico screams out his release.
He lets go of me and drops onto the sofa next to me.
Panting, we lay on the seat, catching our breath. My senses come back to me. “Where’s the pilot?”
“Don’t worry about it. He’s in the cockpit.”
Nico helps me right my dress. I sit up and get situated in my seat. Nico is tucking himself back into his pants. He fastens the buckle and reaches down to connect my seatbelt. Self-consciously, I look toward the door for the pilot, hoping that he didn’t see anything.
When I look back, Nico’s not taking a seat. He walks back to the door of the plane. At first, I think that he’s shutting the door. It’s late and we don’t seem to have a full crew.
He presses the intercom. “She’s buckled in. You can take off as soon as the door is shut.’
Reality sinks in when I realize Nico said she, not we.
“You’re not coming?”
“No.”
I shake my head and scramble for the buckle. “Don’t do this to me again? Don’t send me away.”
“Goodbye, Scarlett.”
He hurries down the plane stairs. By the time I’ve gotten the buckle undone, the door is closing. Out the window I see Nico look up to where I’m standing then climb in the car.
I collapse onto the couch. Violent sobs rack my body. Tears streaming down my face. I feel the plane lurch forward. The pilot’s announcement is garbled in my ears. I don’t try and figure out what they’re saying.
Nothing matters anymore.
ChapterTwenty
Scarlett
They say time can pass in an instant or seem to crawl to a stop. Right now, each day feels like an eternity. The grief I experienced when Luis died is nothing compared to what I feel after Nico left me on that plane all alone.
It’s like my chest has been ripped open and my heart torn from my chest. Luis and I never had the connection that Nico and I did. I know that’s because his heart was mine, but Nico’s was.
Was.
Thinking about never seeing Nico again twists my insides. My stomach revolts, threatening to bring up nothing. I haven’t eaten in days. There’s nothing else I can purge from my system.
