I sucked on the cigarette, squinting through the smoke before shrugging and blowing it out to the side. “Besides, it’s not like he’s here to stop me.”

“What happened to you?” Lewis asked, laughing lightly, but the look in his eyes gave him away. He didn’t like this new version of me.

“Death happened,” I replied, flicking the cigarette to the floor and crushing it beneath my boot. Standing up, I walked over to Skyler and Max. With a lift of my chin, I told him without words to beat it. He did, knowing far well I was the alpha at this little Halloween gathering.

Skyler watched him go, so I stepped in front of her to block him out. I needed her eyes on me, or I’d choke a fucker.

“You’re gonna fuck Lewis.”

Her eyes popped wide open and she scanned the room for listening ears. The girls were too drunk and high to listen in.

Her glassy eyes returned to mine and she laced her words with venom. “Excuse me? Are you fucking crazy?”

“Yeah,” I replied with a shrug. “I am, and you’re gonna do as I say, or I’ll see to it that you spend the remainder of your pathetic existence behind bars.”

“So this is how it’s gonna go?” She crossed her arms, making her tits pop inside her dress. “You’re gonna make me do stupid shit and threaten me if I say no?”

“You’re learning fast,” I replied, dragging my tongue over my bottom lip while staring down at her mouth. It looked so fucking plump and inviting. “You’re at my beck and call, sweetheart.”

She snorted, and I decided I liked that sound coming from her. The way she rolled her eyes, even as she looked over at Lewis seated on the couch.

“Why do you want me to fuck him?”

Skyler stiffened beneath my touch, and I knew I had her where I wanted her when she pushed me off with her palms flat on my chest.

She left me staring after her, but my attention was soon distracted as Alice wrapped her skinny arms around my waist from behind.
