“Dude, then you’re screwed,” Dev said. “My girl is a former assassin. She always gets her man.”

“If I tell you what I know, you have to get me and my family out of here—off the islands, as far from Hawaii as I can get.”

“I have friends who can make that happen,” Dev said.

“No kidding,” the guy said. “Off the island. Me, my girl and my kid. We won’t be safe unless we’re gone.”

“We can do it,” George said. “But only if you give us something we need.”

“Drugs,” the man said. “We do what he wants, and we get drugs, damn it. Enough drugs to sell and make a big enough profit.”

“How does that help us find the guy providing them?” Kiana asked.

“I don’t know. That’s all I have. But there’s a delivery tonight. Maybe you can figure it out from there.”

“Where is the delivery?” George asked.

“Only Rocko will know the location. The entire gang will be there at midnight. All the Demons will be there. They’ll kill anyone who gets in their way.”

Dev released the man’s arm and stood. He held out a hand and helped the tattooed man to his feet.

George, Rex and Logan formed a circle around the gang member while Dev patted him down, removing his cell phone from his pocket, a knife from his belt and another from his boot. Once he completed his search, he stood back.

“What happens if one of your guys doesn’t show up?” Dev asked.

The man stared at the men around him as he wiped his arm across his bloodied nose. “They meet a couple of hours before the designated exchange. If someone is a no-show, they’ll find the missing man. If he doesn’t have a good excuse for being gone, they’ll kill him and his family. That way, everyone shows up. If they don’t find the missing man, they call off the exchange until they find him.”

Dev nodded. “What’s your name?”

The tattooed biker looked around the men surrounding him, his eyes narrowed.

“What’s it hurt to tell us now?” Kiana said. “You said it yourself. You’re a dead man.”

His lips pressed together for a moment. “Silas,” he said. “Silas Miles.”

“Silas,” Dev patted the man on the back, “guess you’d better make that meeting tonight.”

Silas shook his head. “You said you’d get me and my family off the island.”

“And we will—after you make that meeting tonight. Since Rocko is the only man who knows where the exchange will take place, we’ll need you to lead us to the exchange site.”

Silas shook his head. “They’ll kill me.”

“Only if they know you told them anything,” Dev said. “And the only people who know you told us are those standing around you.” He looked at his teammates and Kiana. “Anyone going to tell the Order of the Demons that Silas spilled his guts to us?”

Kiana shook her head, feeling only a little sorry for the man. He would have killed Dev if he’d had half a chance. And he had a reason. A girlfriend and a child? The man probably couldn’t get out of the gang even if he wanted to.

Now, he had to lead them to the Order of the Demons so they could follow them to the exchange.

Kiana shivered. It sounded like they were headed into the bowels of hell.

Silas was still shaking his head. “They’ll kill me, my girl and kid.”

“We’ll get your girl and kid out before the meeting,” Dev promised. “And we’ll get you off the island as soon as we get to the exchange site.”

“It’ll never work,” Silas said. “They’ll have lookouts all over the site.”

“Not if Rocko is the only man who knows where the exchange takes place.”
