Her stomach performed backflips.
After a long moment, he broke the stare and side by side, he and Ash threw together sandwiches that looked so enticing that her stomach clawed with hunger almost as strong as the desire rippling through her.
When Ash set the plate in front of her, what they were saying struck—hard.
At first she didn’t react. Then her vision blurred.
Lifting a hand, she caught his arm. He stared down at her. She reached out for Piers, and he gathered close too. Tipping her head back, she looked from one face to the other.
“Thank you. All of this means so much to me. More than I ever expected, honestly.”
Ash cupped her face. Piers leaned down to brush his lips across hers.
They would make the best partners. Their dedication to living life to the fullest was exactly what she needed.
What she had to do was even more obvious now that she’d spent a little time with two of the most important people in her life.
“Ash…Piers…”
Piers’s vivid blue eyes seemed to darken with emotion. “Yes, love?”
“I want both of you.”
Ash’s lips quirked at one corner in that bad-boy smile. “That can be arranged.”
“At the same time.”

Neither man was even breathing.
She searched their faces for reactions but saw none. “Chances will be better and nobody will be responsible for the baby.”
Ash drew his fingers away from her face. “The baby?” His throat sounded like he’d swallowed hot coals.
She caught his hand and brought it back to her cheek. He cupped it immediately and swished his thumb over her skin.
“I want a child,” she said simply, as though they must already know this was coming and she wasn’t blindsiding the hell out of them. “Dickhead Charlie could have given me one, but he refused. You guys can do that and make a night with you—both of you—unforgettable.”
Piers’s throat worked. “Sylvee…you’re not serious.”
She nodded and then reached for her sandwich. “I’ve never been more serious about anything. I want you guys to give me a child.”
They looked at each other but not at her.
“I’m really serious,” she reiterated.
Piers’s throat clicked on another swallow. “This is a bigger conversation than we have time for.”
She glanced from Ash to Piers. “Is that a no?”
If they denied her request…she’d be disappointed.
Then she’d need to cut her losses and find another way to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother, having a family. Being here made her realize that she wanted that more than ever.
Ash slipped his fingers around her nape. “Babe—”
