“Okay.”
He slid a little along the bench and turned to her, suddenly very close, his fresh, clean scent enveloping her.
“Just one kiss,” he whispered, the golden-brown eyes intent on her lips that half opened for him. His long fingers peeled back her hood. He grabbed her hairband and freed her hair, very gently. Their breaths mixed. He tugged at her locks slightly, sieving through them, sending a thrill down her spine. Her eyelids fluttered. His thumbs caressed her eyebrows.
“Your lips are the sexiest...” he murmured. “I can’t stop wanting to lick you.” His low, deep voice enthralled her.
Giddy barked loudly next to them. Gideon spoke without releasing her face.
“Go away Giddy, I’m kissing Mommy.” Giddy didn’t stop barking.
“Tell him you’re okay,” Gideon ordered, his lips close to hers, his warm palms on her cheeks. His thumbs’ skin was rough, his touch light. She turned her head a little, still in his grasp.
“Giddy, I’m okay.” Giddy barked once, wagged his tail, and ran off.
“I’m kissing you now,” he said.
She closed her eyes, her hands in her lap, her face turned to his. She felt his lips for a short, tender moment. Then he licked her, shortly, sweetly, tracing her lips. She gasped a little when he bit her. Small delicate bites, catching her lower lip gently, as if he was tasting her. He sent his tongue only to retreat immediately. He tasted like chocolate and oranges, and she liked these tentative darts, lamenting each empty nano-second between them, welcoming him with her own tongue when his returned. Their mouths finally met and angled. Gideon’s palms left her face and travelled along her arms, anchoring her. She gave herself to his gentle handling and sank into his warmth. She had never been kissed like that before. For the first time in her life, her brain turned off, stopped analyzing and processing.
Gideon disengaged, and they both took a deep breath at the same time.
There was a wide grin on his face. A smirk, one might say.
“Aren’t you happy with yourself?” She had found her voice. Gideon laughed.
“I am. You’re delicious.” No one had ever called her delicious before.
Gideon whistled for Shemesh, bringing both puppies barking to their bench. He bent and caressed them, looking at home with the two dogs. “I’m going to check for STDs first thing on Sunday morning.”
“Yeah, me too,” Tamar answered the absolute truth.
