“Yes,” Talia cried out, bucking her hips forward. “Please.” She reached down and pulled on the hem of Walker’s shirt, and he chuckled, kissing her again.
“Sweetheart, we can’t do it here,” he rasped, his voice and body screaming at him to say the exact opposite.
“Why? We’ve waited long enough. I want you, you want me. Take your clothes off.”
“Tal, you need a bed to properly feel me inside you.” Walker crowded his knee into the sensitive spot between her legs to give her a taste of what was to come. Her eyelashes fluttered with pleasure. “But don’t worry. I’m not going to leave you hanging this time. You’re going to finish right now, and then we’re going to go to my apartment and I’m going to spend the entire night exploring your body and learning all the ways that make you tick.” He traced his fingertips down her chest and beneath the fabric of her black v-neck shirt, finding one raised nipple and pinching it between two fingers. Liking the jerky reaction he got from her body, he set his mouth near her ear. “Do you like it when I do that?”
“Please don’t stop,” Talia whispered. With a roll of her hips again, they started a rhythm of grinding and pressing that Walker could tell was getting her to the end quickly. Her hands reached under his shirt and clawed at his back as every sound she made had his body aching for release. But he was too determined to get her off first. He wanted to know if she looked the same coming undone in reality as she did in his dreams.
A moment later, Walker could feel Talia’s muscles clenching with the start of an orgasm as he continued to massage her chest and work her over with his knee. She was shaking with the strain of it when he decided his knee wasn’t good enough and shoved his fingers against the seam of her jeans to aid in the pressure against her clit. She came forcefully, legs wrapping like a vice around his thigh. It lasted several long seconds before her body became putty in his hands, limp and spent.
“Walker,” Talia whispered with a shaky breath and reached down to feel him through his pants.
“Tal.” His eyes closed on a moan, and he attempted to reign in his self-control to make good on his promise to explore her body on a bed. When he summoned enough self-restraint, he took one step back from Talia and reached for her hand. “Let’s go. You have to drive, because I don’t think it’s safe to drive when I’m this turned on.”
Talia giggled and nodded in approval, snatching her purse from the back of a chair as he pulled her from the room. She looked over at him with a gleam that made him stop in his tracks to kiss her again.
“Best I’ve ever had.” Walker smiled when he pulled away.
“You haven’t even had me yet,” Talia pointed out, grinning at him with narrowed eyes.
“I don’t care. Watching you let go was enough to know that nothing is better.”
“Just you wait.”
The seductive lilt in her voice had his eyes widening before he immediately started toward the exit.
They started off with a fast-paced walk to the door, which quickly devolved into a full-on laughing sprint, Walker dragging Talia toward the door as quickly as they could get out of there. He kissed her neck impatiently as she locked the door behind them, and she reached in front of him to pat around his front once the storefront was closed up.
“Where are your keys?” Talia purred, touching nowhere near his pockets.
“Fuck,” Walker mumbled under his breath. “You’re getting really… warm.” He liked her version of “hot or cold” better than the original. Even if Talia wasn’t hot on the trail of his keys, she was making her own fire. When she circled her thumb over his swelled tip, it required every ounce of willpower he could muster to not pull her back inside the store and take her against her desk.
“They’re in my back pocket. Get in the car.”
Chapter 36
Talia
Trying to focus on the drive to Walker’s apartment was more difficult than Talia would have thought. Walker was so distracted with twisting his fingers through her ponytail, mouth slanted in a permanent smirk, that he kept forgetting to give her the directions. They ended up passing the street twice and laughing hysterically about it. Talia was already directionally challenged, but it didn’t help that at every red light they made out like horny teenagers. She had been craving him for so long that every opportunity there was to kiss him, she was going to take it.
Walker’s hand rested on her thigh, never breaking contact, and Talia couldn’t wait to go somewhere where his hands could travel everywhere else. It was never like that with anyone else, the absolute need to be as close as possible. She wanted Walker flowing through her veins, her heartbeat paced by the beating of his. She’d had sex before—with Cliff, with other men in college and in high school—but Walker was right: even just finding her pleasure against his knee with all of her clothes on was better than anything she’d experienced before. And the things he said when he touched her made her want to live under the sheets for several days, wondering how long one could survive off sex alone.
“Red light!” Walker called out when Talia came to a stop at the next intersection. He turned toward her with a devilish grin, pulling her to his mouth. His tongue swiped over her kiss-swollen lips, and she sighed into him. “It’s the next right,” he murmured against her jaw. “Before I forget to tell you and we miss it again.”
“The next right,” Talia repeated, her head feeling light and heady as she toyed with the hair at the nape of Walker’s neck, pressing her foot down on the brake harder so she wouldn’t accidentally roll forward. A car honked behind them, and they broke apart, Talia lifting her hand to wave sheepishly through the back window when she noticed the light was green. “Sorry,” she mumbled.
Walker chuckled beside her, a gloating expression spreading over his face as she let off the brake.
“You don’t have to be so smug about it.” Talia giggled.
“I like making my own green lights.” Walker winked, then pointed out the window. “Turn here.”
She had almost forgotten the turn already, and it had only been thirty seconds since the last time Walker had given her the direction. Her mind was a rollercoaster of arousal, waiting impatiently at the top of a steep incline to tip over.
“I’m about to spend a whole night with the sexiest person on the planet. How can I possibly not be smug about that?” Walker shrugged and squeezed Talia’s thigh, circling his thumb over her jeans the way he did earlier against the filing cabinet.
“The entire planet, hmm?” Talia’s grin widened as they traveled down the street, Walker indicating the large apartment building at the end of the road as their destination.
