They pulled into the rear driveway and parked near the door, blocking the few cars lined up in the spots. It only added to his frustration. He dismounted and didn’t wait for the others to follow. The party was big tonight, with a mass of bodies shuffling around the bar. He stopped and glanced around, looking for Kase.

A soft hand slid up to his bicep. “Hey, Trax.”

He ripped his arm from her hold and glared down at the topless blonde. “Touch me again, and I’ll have your ass thrown out.” He was pushed forward, and Gage’s voice rang in his ear. “Back corner.”

Trax followed the direction and saw Kase sitting at a table. Nadia was on his lap with her legs spread wide. No need for a look to see what was shoved between them. Sensing their arrival, Kase glanced up, and his serene face immediately tightened. He stood, moving Nadia to the side, and made his way into the back.

Trax didn’t know if Rourke or Gage had given him the heads up, but Kase knew something was going on. They filed into the room, and the last man closed the door.

“What’s the problem?”

“She saw him,” Gage said, taking a seat at the table. “Gave a pretty detailed description.” Gage cocked his brow. “My guess, it’s Gallow.”

Kase jerked his head to Trax. “She fucking saw him? Bitch said she didn’t see shit.”

Trax clenched his jaw at his reference to her. He cleared his throat. “Yeah, she saw him.”

“And she just gave this up now? Why the fuck didn’t she say anything before?”

Trax shrugged, gripping the back of the chair in front of him. Cheyenne had no reason to trust any of them. Maybe she figured if she gave up the driver, he’d come looking for her. It was a thought that hadn’t crossed his mind while he’d threatened her and her friend. God, the look on her face played over in his head as he gripped hard on the wood.

“So, the cunt just up and admits she saw him and gives full disclosure. Why now?”

Gage raised his brows. “Trax was pretty persuasive. Turns out nothing gets little Chey talking like a threat to her friend.”

Trax’s blood boiled, and he shifted his glare to Gage, who merely raised his brows. “Fuck you. I said what I had to say.”

“I know, man, you got the info.” He raised his brows and nodded. “Well done, brother.” Sarcasm riddled his tone.

Kase slammed his hand onto the table. “I don’t give a shit what you had to say. Need you to get her inside here. I want her to see him before we carry this shit out. Girl is a fucking moron to begin with. Don’t need her pinning Mick’s death on someone without her taking a look at him and identifying Gallow.”

Gage laughed. “Good luck with that. Those two are probably on a plane to fucking Tahiti right now.” He eyed Trax. “Or the fucking cops.”

“Fuck,” Kase snapped. “What the hell are we dealing with here, Trax?”

Rourke stepped forward. “She won’t talk, neither will the friend. Too fucking scared.” His growl was menacing. “Trax made sure of it.”

Kase nodded. “Tomorrow night. Get her in here.”

Trax’s body tightened. “No, she’s outta this. She gave us Gallow, I’m not bringing her in here.”

Kase turned slowly, eyeing Trax. He’d never told his president no in the past. Kase scowled.

“The fuck you aren’t. I want her ass here.”

“Why? She gave us all she had.”

Kase tilted his head and sneered. “I want her here, Trax. If she’s not, I’ll bring her in myself.” Kase charged out the door, and Trax was left with Rourke and Gage.

Gage stood and passed without a word. Trax turned, following him out but stopped when Rourke stepped into his path. They’d been tighter than most of the brothers along with Gage. No man, other than Mick, did Trax respect and trust more than Rourke. Trax had fucked up tonight. Threatening women was not his usual MO.

“Don’t ever threaten her friend with me again, brother.”

“Wasn’t planned.” Trax had no reasonable response. What he’d done was unacceptable. He drew in a breath, feeling the weight of his guilt. “Needed her to talk, man. You saw her.”

Rourke glared. “Yeah, I fucking saw. Know what else I fucking saw? A girl scared outta her mind, thinking I was going to fucking rape her.”

Trax stalked forward. “I never said rape.”
