Blue couldn’t hide her surprise. “But I’m not—”

“You are,” Layla interrupted. “Stone and Rock have pee’d a circle around you.”

Blue laughed. “I wouldn’t go that far.”

“Oh, so we all imagined the way Stone carried you out of her last night,” Kylie teased.

Blue fought a cringe as her cheeks heated. “I’m never going to live that down am I?”

“No,” Layla replied with a chortle. “But don’t worry. You aren’t the first and you won’t be the last. I’ve lost track of how many times Viking has carried me out of a room.”

“At least you only have to worry about one over-the-top male,” Blue grumbled.

“It’s not always that bad,” Kylie replied. “Keep in mind that everyone is on high alert. Once things die down a little Stone and Rock won’t always be so possessive.”

Blue laughed. “Yeah right. They will always be outrageous. I’m not crazy enough to try to convince myself of anything else.”

Several moments of silence passed between them and Blue used it to get control of her nerves. Finally, she looked up from the bottle of water in front of her and asked the most important question she could think of.

“How do you do it?” she asked. “How do you live this lifestyle every day without losing yourself?”

“Easy,” Kylie replied. “Communication. We have a good support system. If things get rough, there is always someone to talk to.”

“And we have kick-ass men,” Layla interjected. “They would rather cut off their arms than harm us. Even if it doesn’t always feel like it.”

“And I’m not complaining about the make-up sex when they do fuck up,” Kylie added.

Blue chuckled as she thought about the way Stone and Rock had turned her world inside out last night. Even now she felt the remnants of their pleasure.

Could she handle two men like Stone and Rock for the rest of her life? Because she knew the two of them would settle for nothing less. The two of them would always expect everything from her and that scared her even more than the Slayers did.

Chapter 11

Blue checked her reflection in the mirror one last time before exiting the bathroom. The last thing she’d expected when Stone and Rock ambushed her about moving in was to have her own space. The room was obviously meant for three people. For now, they’d agreed only to enter if she invited them. Which was exactly what she was getting ready to do. Not for sex, although she wouldn’t say no if it happened but because she was too amped up to sleep by herself.

Hence the reason she’d donned her least sexy pajamas before heading downstairs to locate Stone and Rock. She knew they were still up because she’d heard them laughing after she’d gotten out of the shower.
