“You have a better plan?” Stone questioned.

Blue did not doubt that the smile she offered was borderline feral. But it was the best she could do.

“No,” she managed to get out.

Then she turned on her heel and headed toward the bedroom that had been her domain until now. As pissed as she was, she didn’t take long to pack. It also helped that she didn’t have much.

When she returned downstairs, only Rock and Stone stood there. She turned her attention to Rock.

“I’m ready,” she announced.

Rock chuckled as he motioned for her to go ahead of him. “Told you she is pissed. You’d better sleep with one eye open.”

She missed Stone’s response if there was one. Instead, she focused on getting this over with so that she could find something to eat. If she didn’t, she would make good on Rock’s joking threat. She could be more rational if she had a full stomach.

Chapter 10

“I would ask how things are going but the way you are slamming stuff around,” Harley commented as she stepped behind the bar.

Blue looked over silently, letting every ounce of her frustration show.

“Damn,” Harley exclaimed with a cringe. “That bad. I was hoping at least one of them would be a good lay. Two men who suck in bed at the same time. What a nightmare.”

Blue finally did what she hadn’t felt like doing all day. She laughed. So hard that she had to brace herself on one arm as she fought to catch her breath.

“I hate you for making me laugh like that,” she managed to get out while she wiped the tears off her cheeks.

Harley winked. “Sorry, not sorry. I had to do something. I was concerned about your molars. I could hear you gritting your teeth from over here. Want to talk about it?”

Blue shook her head. “No. Just know that shit is serious right now.”

“Must be. We are on high alert and word is you’ve moved out of the clubhouse,” Harley stated.

“Yeah. Just be careful. Keep an eye out for anything weird and trust your gut,” Blue warned.

“I will. You do the same,” Harley countered. “By the way, nice necklace.”
